you guys can get as semantic as you like. The fact is that you treat the first serious female presidential candidate in this country's history with contempt and scorn. Actions speak louder than words.

uhmm...yeah, when it was pointed out you were mistaken you moved the goal posts. That action does speak pretty loud. :sorry:

Garbage. Palin was a serious candidate only in the sense she was on the ticket of a major party. She did not run in primaries, she was picked to attract a certain part of the vote.

That choice wa a huge mistake. The immediate pop was positive but the longer things went on and the more she said the worse it got.

Can anyone here really imagine a man being asked about foreign policy experience and replying that he has it because of proximity to Russia? I can't. If a man gave that responce he would have gotten a followup of something like. OK you've told my why you need to have experience, what experience do you have?

She seems to be doing pretty good to me but the left burns with jealousy.

A good job of what? She had to resign in shame and humiliation over being an ineffective governor. If she couldn't handle being the governor of a state of 700,000 how can we expect her to be President?

Conservatives are cute when they pretend honest criticism is jealousy...of course since they tend to worship their leaders it's understandable.

That's just it -- we don't. Nobody does.

She's a reality TV star now -- nothing more.

“She had to resign in shame and humiliation over being an ineffective governor.”

This isn’t true. This is simply how it has been spun by those who oppose her since her resignation.

From her resignation speech, quote:

“Political operatives descended on Alaska last August, digging for dirt. The ethics law I championed became their weapon of choice.”

…………

“Every one - all 15 of the ethics complaints have been dismissed….But it hasn't been cheap - the State has wasted THOUSANDS of hours of YOUR time and shelled out some two million of YOUR dollars to respond to "opposition research"

…………

And what about the people who offer up these silly accusations? It doesn't cost them a dime so they're not going to stop draining public resources - spending other peoples' money in their game.”

………….

“I will not seek re-election as Governor.”

And then I thought - that's what's wrong - many just accept that lame duck status, hit the road, draw the paycheck, and "milk it". I'm not putting Alaska through that………It's not what is best for Alaska.”

End Quote. Link: http://tpmlivewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/07/full-text-of-palins-resignation-speech.php

Palin took the high ground but few have given her credit for it. The Washington Post phrased it thus:

“Palin offered few clues about her ambitions but said she arrived at her decision in part to protect her family, which has faced withering criticism and occasional mockery, and to escape ethics probes that have drained her family's finances and hampered her ability to govern. She said leaving office is in the best interest of the state and will allow her to more effectively advocate for issues of importance to her, including energy independence and national security.”

“Palin, 45, said that, after deciding not to run for reelection as governor, she realized she did not want to finish out her term merely for the sake of doing so

End Quote. Link: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/03/AR2009070301738.html

Had Palin remained in office merely to complete a “lame duck” term, she would have been viciously criticized for doing so. Palin knew this, and so do you.

And the left responded and still responds with its usual vile enthusiasm. CNN’s Rick Sanchez postulated and the Huffington Post subsequently heralded :

“There have been a couple other situations that might cause someone to feel a lot of stress. But aside from those, is there anything going on with her that perhaps may lead her to want to make this decision, and the one thing that's still left out there is, hey, could she be pregnant again.”

It is the way the left thinks, nothing a Conservative does can possibly be the result of a moral decision self-sacrificing in the name of good, while nothing a liberal does, even if it is a crime (Charlie Rangel), can be held against them.

Oh, by the way, her television show is not a “reality show” in the sense that term is used. It is a nature documentary on the State of Alaska. If it were entitled “Al Gore’s Tennessee”, you would be on your knees giving praise for it.

Liberal Commentator Warns White House: Too Much ‘Hero Worship’ Around Obama

Quote:

Voters have struggled for months to get their message across to the Obama administration. But even after sweeping victories during the midterm elections, it seemed to many that the White House was tone deaf, missing the message completely. Longtime liberal commentator Eleanor Clift says the White House has some soul-searching to do.

“Part of Obama‘s problem is that there’s too much hero worship around him,” Clift writes in Newsweek, “and that translates into a reluctance to fault him for anything, except maybe that he didn‘t make a good enough case for all the wonderful things he’s done.”

POWELL: The cost of progressivist worship

Quote:

Why is it that one government report after another "unexpectedly" bears more bad news about jobs? Last week, according to Bloomberg, "The number of unemployment claims unexpectedly shot up." Before that, Reuters reported, "Employers unexpectedly cut jobs." This "unexpectedly" bit has been going on for quite a while, suggesting that journalists continue to be surprised that President Obama’s progressive agenda has failed to revive private-sector job creation. One might as well say, "Monday unexpectedly will come next week."

No, it is more pity, if that is the best woman that the Republicans can come up with (by the way, the Republicans have some really smart women who know politics and depend on their intelligence rather than flirting, etc).

Oh good job, a photo-shopped campaign poster and a blog; you've really convinced us that Democrats worship President Obama.
rolleyes.gif

It's really a case of projection. Since the Conservatives are the only ones who call President Obama the Messiah, they are really the ones who think of him that way, but project it on the Democrats instead. ;)

And you are attempting to prove...... what, with that?
That liberals should be careful throwing stones about others "worshipping" their leaders.

I've never seen a conservative recreate Christ's entry into Jerusalem with a Sarah Palin model.
