This reminds me of something.
During my Confirmation classes, we had a night on Marriage. Well, the night started off with the Deacon (who was going to give the talk, and is who heavily involved in the pre-cana classes at this Church) proceeding in with a bowl of the Eucharist, once everybody realized that he had the Eucharist everybody then knelt, and we had a little adoration. Then he proceeded to give out the Eucharist to some of the students. Then he took a piece of Eucharist, broke it, dropped it, and stomped it.
I swear about half of the crowd, was about to get up and punch him. The other half turned to their neighbor and said that it must be unconsecrated bread. Which it was, it wasn't consecrated.
He then went on to say that he was proud of us that we were so upset over what he did, but he then went on to say that what he just did with the Eucharist was what we were doing with the Sacrament of Marriage in today's society.
It got the point across, I am not sure if it was the proper thing to do. But anyways, this reminded me of that.
