I have dealt with atheists online and they are some of the rudest people I ever had contact with. Now I don't want to say that atheists are all rude like that, but the ones that are rude makes such insensitive comments that I end up feeling bad for them. I have created these two videos about God being real and some of the comments are rude. Keep in mind, many Youtube comments tend to be that way. I didn't take it personally because I know there is a God and I put out these videos for a reason. So tell me, what do you think of these videos and what is the best way to promote these videos and how do you witness to an atheist?

Don't waste good seed on stony ground. No matter how much you plant, it will always be barren ground.

Just loving them as Christ loves us is the only way. It's the only way to bring anyone to Christ. One must see His light shining through us and people are drawn to that light. Anything else, is pearls before swine.

Thank you. Some people will be stubborn in their arrogance. The atheists who were rude were being quite arrogant in their beliefs, or lack of religious belief thereof. I will pray for them. It is sad that God created people so ungrateful that they mock him, but Jesus died for atheists as well. As I said, I will pray for them that God will reveal himself to them. It is also sad that because of their beliefs, that unrepentant atheists will not be in the presence of God forever. It seems to be such a waste to not believe in God, Heaven, or Hell.

The same way you witness to anyone else. If they refuse to hear move on.

I know your struggle. I too have been attempting to witness to atheists on YouTube and it's all uphill. However, when you get mocked or disrespected remember the Bible tells us this will happen and in a way we should be happy as we are being "persecuted" for Him.
The videos are pretty good but honestly,I don't think it will be effective with atheists as no atheist that I've ever met believes the bible to be the inspired word of God. Most say it was written by a bunch of shepherds roaming the desert ( that's the only one I can reprint ) so you really have to approach it from another angle. Keep in mind that science is the one area that atheists have respect for. There is no scientific proof for God but you can always talk about the Ontological and Teleological arguments but really it comes down to the individual to decide if they are in a position to listen to you. You have probably discovered that most atheists will not listen to "religious" talk. I guess in many ways it is like trying to plant on concrete but really our job is to attempt to plant and let God finish what we started. I pray for you and that your videos open someones eyes.

I dont think you can "witness" to atheist online or through youtube. I think you have to let your light shine to the world, show them that there is something to this whole "God" thing, and maybe, maybe, maybe you can get them to think, what does he have that makes him this way, why does he still do what he does, knowing there isnt a God, why does he still show compassion for me or others, etc. This is a bad way to put it, but make them jealous of what you have, and they may get curious. I als thought of something else, now atheists are not necessarily our "enemy", but i though of this verse
    Romans 12:20
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
they wont know what to think, theyll think youll argue, and say they are a fool, and stupid, and going to hell, they wont expect you to show them love. At least i would think.

    Yes, he did.

That day Jesus went out of the house and was sitting by the sea. And large crowds gathered to Him, so He got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd was standing on the beach. And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, "Behold, the sower went out to sow; and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up. Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out. And others fell on the good soil and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear." (Matthew 13:1-9, NASB)

And if you were being sarcastic in your question, it doesn't play well in print.

First in Matt 1:9 Jesus is NOT telling anyone not to waist there time witnessing to ANYONE!!! reread and try and figure out the parable and believe me Jesus is not saying don't waist your time witnessing to atheist!!!

There should be no witnessing to them, as they have made their choice. John taught us that ANYONE denying the Son is an ANTICHRIST. What yoke does righteousness have with unrighteousness?

All you will receive upon witnessing to them is hostility, the very same 'enmity' that was placed between the offspring of Eve and the Offspring of the 'serpent'. Almost all are hard left liberals and view Christianity as one of the problems in the world. Their logic is that 'religion' is used to control people. I agree with this, but its not Christianity that is a religion. It is a REALITY for us. All they will do is cast seeds of dissent and we shouldn't cast pearls before swine. Trust in what Jesus tells us, always

As a former atheist, the only thing that remotely moved me was seeing someone who was devout selflessly (if there is such a thing) giving to others.

The most-used maneuver by the enemy is to 'take away or add to' the already perfect Word of Yahweh. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1)" so the creator Jesus is that living Word (Revelation 19:13), therefore any attack on the integrity of the pure text could be considered an attack on God Himself. Examples of 'adding to or taking away' can be seen by Lucifer throughout the whole of scripture starting in the third chapter of Genesis when the serpent, or "whispering magick enchanter (Strong's #H5172)," says to Eve "Yea, hath God said?" casting doubt on the infallibility of Yahweh's Word. When Satan 'tempted' Jesus in the wilderness he used this tactic.

When explaining the parable of the sower, Jesus Christ taught; "Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved." We're also warned in Revelation 22:18-19; "For I [Jesus] testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." It should go without saying that Christians should be divided against those who teach doctrine not found in the Bible.

Let's take a look at who does and doesn't make it into Yahweh's Kingdom in the verses just above those, let's read verses 13-15; "I [Jesus] am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." Break this verse down -- notice that Jesus claims to be the 'Alpha and Omega' which further proves He is the Word from start to finish, or 'A to Z.' Next, we see that those who make it are the ones who 'do' the commandments of Yahweh just like He taught in Matthew 7:21; "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Also take note that outside the Kingdom are "whosoever loveth and maketh a lie" meaning that nobody will be able to claim they were "tricked" by any individual or universal church. Sadly, people flock to what they love and a majority of sheeple will seek to justify their 'new doctrine of devils' outside the Word or in a bastardized version of the Bible.

Your comment was posted in response to this:
I gave you the verse from which he drew it. Now you want to completely misrepresent what I said. No problem, misrepresent away. But while you're having a good laugh at the expense of the Christians here, keep in mind that your blatant failure to grasp what was being said renders you a poor critic.

Keep in mind that many of those who post online are only trying to disparage the beliefs of others. IOW, they aren't there to listen but to malign and push their agenda. (visit the politics and current affairs sub-forums, for example, and the Creation/Evolution forums on here :). ) What you get in personal conversations will be very different from this.
Good question. I'll look at them when I get the chance. I hope everyone realized that this is your major point in this thread, to get input on them.

    Blessings,
    H.

Barren ground, untilled and unfertilized, will always be barren ground. Simply repeating the gospel over and over again to the unchanged mind will bear absolutely no fruit. Before barren ground can be made fertile, the stones must be removed, the ground tilled and the soil prepared to receive seed. The barren soul is made fertile by removing the obstacles to belief, the truth gently imparted, relationship established so the heart will open to the teacher and to the Holy Spirit to receive the gospel of truth.

Forums like this are imperfect in truly relaying what a member means in a particular post. I knew I was saying all this. As I type it out now, I see that there is no way anyone else could discern it unless they were on a miraculously similar wavelength at the time they read it. So, I withdraw my accusation that you misrepresented what I said. I didn't say it plainly. I apologize.

    9. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

    11. Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
