Show that from Scripture, if your group teaches that,
which is contrary to the what Jesus taught the disciples, to follow Him, to speak what the Father speaks, to do what the Father says to do,
always completely in harmony and in line with all of His Word.

Note that the cults , and religion in error, instead of doing what Jesus and the Father say to do, instead of being in line with God's Word,
do anything else (how do you justify doing something opposed to God's Word, btw ? ) ....

I think we get rid of pride by paying close attention to God's will in our lives and listening for his voice and direction during our days. Also, accepting the fact that some of your gifts are greater than others will help. Some things are just facts and we need to accept them. Another way is to realize that there is probably someone else out in the world with a greater ability than you have, and we can find them on the internet probably God has a lot of ways to humble everyone, we just have to look at the world more broadly.
