How come I'm tempted into sinning even though I pray to God to help me?

I can understand the frustrations you expressed, Caleb. I’d suggest that you consider having an accountability partner to help you in your struggles. Sending prayers for you, asking the Lord to grant you grace for each day and sustain you with His strength. God’s best to you!

If God really was controlling my life and wanted me to not sin, then how come I still do it? And how do I prevent it?

God gives mankind free will, you are not a programmed robot made to obey the maker. Our God is very fair !!!

Sin brings pleasure to the flesh. It will always be a battle. It is in our nature to want to do a lot of these things that we shouldn't. Human beings are the most self destructive creatures.
