The focus of the Bible prophets is on the vortex of a returned unbelieving remnant of Israel surrounded by the 400 million Muslim contingent in the Middle East

The current upheaval among the divides of the Islamic intransigence against the Lord will turn into a confederatd front against Israel .... the Lord will use this onslaught for the purpose of turning a portion of Israel to Himself [Ezekiel 20:33-44] and at the same time He will turn on this Muslim kingdom of Satan's beast in the human little horn and destroy it at the battle of Armageddon

This Middle Eastern drama will draw the entire world into the vortex in one way or another and this setting is already materializing .... the Lord is setting the stage for His return to Israel and to rule the earth from Jerusalem [Micah 4:1-3; 5]

The nations of the Gentiles will pay the cost for their indifference and rejection of the Lord {Psalms 2; Revelation 6:12-17]

This tribulation will be worldwide consisting of upheaval in nature and destruction imposed by Satan's beast controlling the Islamic little horn and his 10 other kings including the destruction of the "great city" of the Gentiles at the onset of the tribulation [Revelation 14:8; 17:16-18; 18]

This sudden and devastating attack upon the core of western dominance alone will effect all nations, their, governments, economics, trading, commercial systems, food supplies, local infrastructures, etc. with blade runner societies in the aftermath

And this will create the global environment for the rising of Islam's Mahdi at the hands of Satan and his adventure to destroy Israel and ultimately to rule the earth .... but the adventure will be cut short at the hands of the Lord [Daniel 7; 8; 11:36-45; 12:1-7]

I would suggest that one review their study of the prophetic scriptures under the brief overview above to see the matching

What is the source of the Mahdi, 12th iman, prophecy ? There is no explicit reference to the Mahdi in the Quran.

This is contained in the Muslim Hadith

However, it really makes no difference, but is coincidental

The Lord's prophetic word describes the coming little horn's profile and location .... the "Assyrian" who will arise the in immediate north of Israel at the beginning of the coming tribulation [northwestern Mesopotamia .... Syria/Iraq today]

The parallels are a part of the Satanic deception which has produced Muhammad's false teachings of Islam and the relation to the controversy between Issac/Jacob/Israel and Ishmael/Esau/Edom still on going today

This controversy depicts the offset between Israel and the adherents of Islam and the greater stand off between the Lord and Satan

The Mahdi is a tenet of Shi-ite Islam. The main religion of Iran and their mullah leaders believe it is their duty to assist his appearance, when he will kill the Jews and reign as the worldwide Caliph.
But, their belief is also that some kind of catastrophe must occur in order to bring on the Mahdi's coming. This is planned by them, to be WW3, started by their attack with nukes and by their proxies, on Israel.
However, we know from Psalms 83:1-18 and Micah 4:11-12, this attack will result in their doom. Psalms 7:12-16 The Lord will send fire to destroy them all. Psalms 11:4-6, Isaiah 30:26-30, Isaiah 66:15-16, Revelation 6:12-17
This terrible fire from the sun will literally fulfil all the graphic prophesies about the sudden and shocking Day of the Lord's wrath and then all the rest of what is prophesied will happen, leading up to the glorious Return of Jesus.

The point I am making is that the idea of a Mahdi came from one person, after Mohammed was dead. And you are putting value on that one person's made up idea of a Mahdi - that end time bible prophecy the central bad guy all goes back to that one person's made up idea coming true. There is not going to be any Mahdi person as the Antichrist or beast or false prophet.

It doesn't matter that a billion muslims believe in a coming Mahdi - all based on that one person's idea - because it had no legitimate basis to start with.

Did I say that there would be a Mahdi?
No, there will never be another Islamic Caliph, let alone as a world leader. Islam will totally discredited after the Sixth Seal/Psalms 83 event.
However, Nahum 1:11 says: a wicked counsellor, one who plots against the Lord, will come from Ninevah.

Mohammed was only one person too - why grant his input as more important than any other man? It not as if he was the Son of God or inspired by the Holy Spirit, is it...

...and the things he said are not going to come to pass either. Just like the inventor of the Mahdi.

Mohammed claimed that the angel Gabriel paid a visit .... this is utter nonsense and total contrivance

Satan is the one who visited and is behind the Muslim intransigence .... and the biblical "antichrist" is the same as Islam's coming Mahdi

Islam is the most virulent "antichrist" religion upon the earth and Muslim behavior attests to this truth

This religion has turned biblical truth upside down and claims all of the Lord's promises to Israel for themselves .... this is common knowledge

And at the same time denying Him and instead worshiping the pagan "god" Allah of the ancient Assyrians and Babylonians who does not even exist .... they are worshiping Satan and do not know this

These followers of the Lord's adversary the devil say that Abraham set out to sacrifice Ishmael instead of Issac .... then they proceed to completely replace Israel as the Lord's chosen people even to the extent of creating absurd falsehoods telling that Israel never existed in the first place and that it has always been the Muslims who are the Lord's chosen people

This behavior is the epitome of replacement theology .... even greater than those of the "Christian" persuasion who do the same thing, but in a more subtle manner

Know that the devil works both sides of the street and even in the halls of Judaism ... he is the corrupter of truth and the father if lies

All of this is against the Lord's Word and against the archaeological proofs of Israel's existence for thousands of years as the Lord's chosen people .... the findings prove out the parallel biblical accounts with 100% accuracy

When you see this blatant attempt to skew biblical truth you can know that the devil is in the details

And he is going to bring and present his beast in the little horn of Daniel's visions as a substitute [2 Thessalonians 2:3-12]

Yes, Jesus told the Jews that their father was Satan and they belonged to the synagogue of Satan. Thinking that the current people of the State of Israel are still beloved of God and will be forgiven and redeemed, contradicts what Jesus said.
In the parable of the banquet, none of those who were invited partook of it. Luke 14:24, Luke 19:27 Also Isaiah 22:14 and many others.
Judah exists today, but Bible prophecy is clear: Zephaniah 1:4-6 Judah will be judged and those who have neither sought the Lord, nor enquired of Him, will be wiped out. Jeremiah 8:5-12, Amos 2:4-5, Isaiah 22:14, Matthew 21:41-43
Only a remnant will be saved. Zephaniah 3:11-13, Isaiah 4:3 Note in Isaiah 4:2, that it is the 'plant the Lord has grown', that is: Christians, who will be glorious in the holy Land. Isaiah 60:8-21

So, the whole premise of all the Jewish people being saved, is false and only promoted by those who have the escapist idea of a rapture to heaven, while the Jews go through the Great trib.

"So, the whole premise of all the Jewish people being saved, is false"

Only a portion [Isaiah 11; 27:12-13; Ezekiel 20:33-44; Zechariah 13:8-9; Romans 11:25-36]

.... 2/3 killed in unbelief, 1/3 saved

All of the 1/3 will be saved to enter and populate the Lord's coming millennial kingdom upon the earth

As for the rest of the rant in your post above .... not worth talking to you about

Here's verses you should carefully study Straightshot:
Romans 9:24-26 We Christians are those vessels of mercy, called from among Jews and Gentiles alike. Those who were not My people, I will call My people, they will be called the children of God.
Isaiah 61:3-6 The Lord's righteous people, planted in the holy Land, to display His glory.....

There's a ton of scripture proving that all the people of God, all true Christian believers from every tribe, race, nation and language, will soon go to live in all of the holy Land. They will be there when the Anti-Christ makes a 7 year treaty with them, because he will have seen the dramatic destruction of Gog/Magog,
They will be there when Jesus Returns, to welcome Him with the shout of: Blessed is He that comes in the Name of the Lord.
Have none of the foolish and pretentious notion of escaping to heaven. We have work to do on earth. Revelation 5:9-10

All ready been there and done that .... all of it .... an enormous number of times
So I do not buy your story
The story I promote is supported by all the scriptures.
The story of a rapture to heaven, isn't anywhere to be found in scripture. Who sold it to you?

How close are we:question:
Should be any day now:!!::oldthumbsup:
 :ebil:

People have thought we were close to the rapture/return since quite a while. Every generation has "wars and rumors of wars", and signs that cause at least some to insist we are living in the last days. And the disciples thought they were living in the last days and Jesus would return to them any day now at the time. Didn't happen.

Well... Vladimir Putin stated in July 2015 within two years Russia's nuclear forces would be completely upgraded, and if NATO interfered in the Ukraine, or the Baltics he would attack America using those weapons, (AP Press July 16 and 27 2015). So I guess we have about 10 months left as of September 2016, before we are blown into oblivion.

You call me a scoffer and use that Scripture as evidence, though keep in mind the 1st century surely had scoffers as well, as has every single time period from then to now, so if you're using that passage alone to say we're living in the last days, you could use that same argument for 10, 50, 100, 1000, even nearly 2000 years ago. You could literally apply that verse to any time and it would be just as valid.

In addition, there are many passages that indicate that the disciples thought that Jesus would return in their lifetimes:

3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ 4 who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father - Galatians 1:3-4

1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. - Hebrews 1:1-2

Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself - Hebrews 9:26

He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake - 1 Peter 1:20

These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age. - 1 Corinthians 10:11

1 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days - James 5:1-3

10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. - Revelation 3:10-11

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come - 1 Thess 1:10

6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. - 2 Thess 1:6-10

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching - Hebrews 10:24-25

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. - 1 John 2:18

11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. - Romans 13:11-12

27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.

28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;

31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away. - 1 Corinthians 7:27-31

These don't sound like writers focusing on some vague time 2000+ years in the future. This sounds like the writings of people who believed the end of the world was really coming soon, within their lifetimes, in fact. Not to mention the letters from St. Paul to the Corinthians—those were letters to a specific group of people at the time, the Corinthians. I don't think Paul knew that they were going to be collected and put into the Bible. That's like me writing a letter specifically for a friend, only for it to be put in an anthology of letters from various people and thinking what I said in the letter specifically to my friend was written for everyone. Obviously that wouldn't be the case.

Same principle with Revelation—the Angels in John's vision told him to take the message of specific parts to several select tribes in Israel. That indicates, as above, that the message was for those people in that day.

Even Jesus Himself seemed to indicate a 1st century return:

When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. - Matthew 10:23

27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done. 28 Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." - Matthew 16:27-28

33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. - Matthew 24:33-34

For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. - Luke 21:22

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near - Rev 1:3

Then he told me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near - Rev 22:10

Many indications in the Bible, and the nature of addressed letters and messages, indicate it was thought that the end was close for them. So don't call me a scoffer when not only could that phrase apply to any time, but the words of the Bible itself indicated the last days were expected to happen in the lifetimes of the disciples.
