What you have written is impossible to understand - you have just said that walking in the Spirit is habitual sin!
Sorry, my error ... but wasn't it obvious?
Why do have to waste a post?
Oh, I could tell you why, but I dare not.

The title of this thread is about our "salvation tower". There is no such thing, and the passage you quoted from Luke does not say otherwise.
Any other excuses for not taking the OP to heart?
Might as well get 'em all out of the way now.
Same-o, same-o ... people making excuses
for NOT accepting God's NT verses!
Shame-o, shame-o ... on thou and most others!

All I'm doin' here is quoting NT verses!
All y'all are doin' here is trashin' them!
A fun time is had by all ... Yea, and I say Yea!

No excuses necessary. This is a discussion forum each party posts their views on certain topics/passages other parties respond or not as they choose. Each party supports their views with whatever evidence they choose.. Nobody put you in charge allowing you to demand anything from others. And nothing permits anyone to insult others on this forum because they choose to respond or not.

It doesn't sound like it's ever occurred to you that it may be you who is at fault - your interpretation of selected verses of Scripture.
Of course not. Pride says "I am right, and, that being the case; everyone else is at fault, making excuses and deliberately not accepting Scripture."

All I'm doin' here is quoting NT verses!

Yes - out of context!
Supposing I quoted the verses, "then Judas went and hanged himself", "go thou and do likewise" and "what thou doest, do quickly". All I'm doing is quoting Scripture. Are you going to obey, or give reasons why you can't?

I sincerely hope you would not read those verses and go and kill yourself. That is NOT what Jesus wants, nor what he is saying. But some disturbed person could read that and think, "Scripture condones, and favours, suicide."

We need to read verses in context and understand what is being said. And Luke 13 does not teach that we have to build a salvation tower - nor does any other Scripture.

All y'all are doin' here is trashin' them!

Explaining that Scripture needs to be read in context is not trashing it.
Reading into it and saying it teaches things that aren't there; is.

Now that you've edited that post; yes, I see what you are saying.

Why do have to waste a post?
Oh, I could tell you why, but I dare not.

Again, blame someone else rather than admit you made a mistake.
All you needed to say was "sorry, I wrote the wrong word".

You are correct ... It is Luke 14.
You are correct ... It does NOT say it's a salvation tower.
Happy now?
If thou doesn't agree with my analogy, it's on you.
If thou doesn't agree it's about salvation, it's on you.

The Holy Spirit convicts people to believe the true gospel; if they don't accept it, it's not the fault of the Holy Spirit.

If I give you the truth, and you don't accept it,
it's not my fault.

The blood of many BACs will be on the heads of pastors
who do NOT warn their sheep about the very real possibility of the poor dears losing their salvation!
These pastors have many reasons for NOT warning.
Perhaps, you can figure out what some of them are.

That's good because I choose to NOT respond often.

You started the thread; presumably to engage with others. If you choose not to respond to certain posts, that's up to you.

Thank you. For example, I've often given many
clear NT verses to FG2 about losing salvation,
and he refuses to accept/believe them.
Then, for months later, he asks me to post them
(as if there are no such verses).
So, why waste my time responding once again!

You are correct ... It is Luke 14.

My mistake, I was thinking of something else.

.

Happy now?

It's not about my happiness, it's about Scripture..
YOU wrote about us building a salvation tower, and even asked us how our particular tower was coming along. Now you admit that that is not even Scripture - so what, in plain English, ARE you asking?

If thou doesn't agree with my analogy, it's on you.

If it's not Scriptural; it's on you.

If thou doesn't agree it's about salvation, it's on you.

It's about the cost of being a disciple - salvation is not even mentioned.

Salvation is free, but there is a COST to following Jesus; laying down your life, being willing to put God first, die to self and love sacrificially.
We don't do those things in order to be saved. We do them because Jesus gave himself to us to save us - laid down his life. This was God's gift to us, Romans 6:23.
So we are asked to give our lives to God. Salvation is free; discipleship may cost us everything.

You might be interested to know that I was asked to do a reading at church tonight, and this was it! The sermon was, as I have said, on the cost of discipleship - not on salvation.

I don't know; maybe he doesn't agree with your interpretation and wants you to re read, and think about, them?

Whatever his reason(s), I've lost interest.
False teachers face a sterner punishment than others
(Ref: the NT).

My ex-pastor (44 years) pentecostal friend says
being a disciple of Jesus is necessary to be saved.
I agree with him re: the gospels!

Many, many years ago, I remember some teachers
were saying that it's NOT necessary.
Maybe, something for you to research further.
