House Intelligence Committee releases Russia report

Of course, the democrats aren't happy and they believe the investigation was shut down prematurely, but if there was evidence of collusion staring them in the face, the democrats on the committee could easily come out and say, "We have the evidence right here. They're lying!" Of course, they didn't and they won't because, as I've always said, there's no evidence at all that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.

And yet, The Senate Intelligence Committee is still investigating. Mueller has gotten 5 guilty pleas, 19 incitements and is still investigating.

I just don't buy it. This has Nunes fingerprints all over it, even though he was suppose to recuse himself from this.

I will wait on the Senate Intelligence Committee to come to a conclusion before saying there is nothing there.

Yeah, for things that have nothing to do with Russian collusion. There were democrats who were a part of the investigation, so like I said, if there was something there to report, the democrats could've easily stood up and said the committee was lying. When the Senate committee says the same thing, you're going to say, "I don't buy this either. I'm going to wait for Mueller."

There has NEVER been a single shred of evidence of collusion. None has leaked, no democrat has ever stood up and said they've found the smoking gun, it's all been a witch hunt spurred on by wishful thinking. This has been a lie perpetrated by the left in hopes of finding SOMETHING that will lead to Trump impeachment. Mueller himself doesn't even seem focused on Russia, as he himself has said Trump is not a criminal target in his investigation.

I am not holding out for impeachment, but there is a lot of incitements for there to be nothing. There is evidence of the Russians tampering with our election process. And there is enough evidence that people in Trump's campaign had interactions with Russians that I would not be surprised that something shady happed.

Plus the fact that members of both parties are working to protect Mueller speaks to them seeing something there.

Honestly, I think the GOP and Trump knew the Russians where tampering and they didn't care because it was getting them the White House, Senate, and the House. IMHO, they didn't need to collude, they needed to sit back and let the Russians do the work. And I think Trump knows that and is worried that somehow it will lead to him.

I swear, even if he is not guilty, he acts so nervously that he looks it.

The House investigation was a political investigation that may have started for political reasons, was clearly shut down for political reasons, and has no non-political truth to it. If the Senate does say there is nothing, then yes, Mueller may be on a witch hunt.

But he is finding a lot of misdeeds which in itself is useful to cleaning up the mess.

You realize that all of those indictments are for stuff not related to collusion, right? It's for stuff completely unrelated to the campaign and 13 Russian trolls who'll never see the inside of a court room.

I get nervous when I pass a cop car, even though I'm not speeding. It's natural to be nervous when you're under investigation. You'll want it to be over ASAP, especially if it's hurting you politically and the media/left already has their mind made up that you're guilty.

I don't know how Trump would've known that the Russians were behind anything. He was a private citizen and didn't have access to intelligence reports or any such thing. But, Obama did have those reports and he knew of these attempts since before Trump announced he was running and he didn't say a thing about it.

It's amazing to me that they didn't say a word until Trump won, then they tried to use it against him to convince the electors not to vote for him by making it seem like the election was in question. Then Comey illegally leaked classified information to force a special counsel to form. You have text messages from FBI agents saying they need an 'insurance policy' in case Trump wins.

It sounds like more of a conspiracy against Trump to keep him out of office at all costs, even amongst republicans. Everyone expected Hillary to win, by which case I doubt we would've ever heard of the Russia interfering, as I'm sure Russia has ALWAYS interfered, just like we always interfere in other elections.

I don't agree. Mueller is focused on Russia but when, during an investigation, other crimes are discovered one cannot just ignore those crimes.

Michael Flynn Jr. is now saying that his father, Michael Flynn, did not lie to Jeff Sessions. Now I tend to not believe him, but if that were true....holy cow...

So because they will never see the inside of a court room the investigation proving that Russia did interfere in the elections shouldn't have happened?

    Not quite.

All of Robert Mueller’s indictments and plea deals in the Russia investigation so far

One of them is Richard Pinedo, the man who sold identities to those Russians. He has pled guilty to that. That is someone who helped the Russians interfere with the election.

But why are you focusing on collusion? If there was nothing to hide, why are people lying to the FBI? Something is up and I would like it to be found, even if it is not collusion.

Ah, yes. The local troll contact, forgot about him.

...because the topic of the OP is no collusion? :mmh:

That's kind of a bizarre attitude to take. While many of these people are guilty of crimes, some of the charges of lying to the FBI come from 4+ hours straight of interrogation, which I don't care for on principle. Nor do I like these "cop to lesser charges to avoid jail" nonsense, which only came about after the Civil War. This isn't a defense of these people or Trump, simply prosecution tactics I do not like, period.

I don't think people deny that Russia tried to interfere with our elections. Even Trump admitted that. The thing to remember is that they've been doing this for a long time, and we've been doing the same or worse for just as long. Look up the crap Obama pulled with Israel during their last election while he was in office. The USAF has admitted to having 'trolls' on Twitter, etc. to manipulate elections and events years ago. Non-Americans were known to push the Swiftboat thing back in 2004, so consider that.

This really isn't something new, nor is it shocking. It's part and parcel of being a part of the digital age. The only reason a big deal was made out of it this time was because the Democrats were embarrassed to have lost to Trump, of all people.

As I've said previously, the second Mueller says Trump colluded or any evidence comes out, I will disavow my support of Trump immediately. I'm just frustrated with all the people who expect me to do it when I haven't seen anything that suggests he's guilty of collusion. People he hired? Maybe. Did Russia try to contact him? You bet. Did he make some mistakes along the way? Most likely (as the committee said the campaign made errors in this regard).

Did Donald Trump purposely collude with Russia to steal the election from Hillary? I have seen nothing to suggest that happened. Two investigations have concluded saying no evidence of collusion. Those involved in the investigations, democrats included, have said "we haven't found evidence of collusion yet." And I still strongly believe if they had a smoking gun, then this committee itself would've come forward and said they found it.

They have democrats on their team who poured through the same evidence. Still, nothing.

And here I thought leaking classified information was a bad thing.

One of the Trump campaign's foreign policy experts took a plea deal for lying about his contacts with the Russians during the campaign. Sure, I guess someone who was part of the transition team (like the guy leading the House Committee) would try to downplay that but to me it is at least a bit suspicious.

Asking them to hack her e-mail on national TV doesn't suggest anything to you?
