Domestic Union becomes the legal term replacing marriage.
Marriage or Holy Matrimony are not recognized as legal terms.

Each congregation is responsible for recording and preserving the record of Holy Matrimony.

To be legally united in the eyes of the state requires the completion and filing with the county clerk a Domestic Union Contract.
