Admin Announcement Holiday styling - how to remove it if you wish

Click on your username at the top right and then on this:

Then click on preferences listed on the right:

Then select Disable Holiday styling:

No more snow or leaves or whatever else will be coming in that way.

I like the snowflakes but then I am in Arizona now.

Snow is usually considered to be COOL. I changed my avatar to fit the snow cap.

We got snow here in Tennessee...I hope it's the last of it here! Living in the "boondocks" it's hard to love snow. We can get stuck out here for weeks.

Thanks for the info! I've been leaving the holiday styling on, but I've had to turn it off now, because I find that the masks that are part of the New Year's Eve style ruin the avatars. If the New Year's Eve style just had the fireworks, and the bunting on the forum pages, that would have been fine (and I would have left the holiday styling on), but the masks covering the avatars are going too far for me, as they completely hide the avatars.

I like the fireworks, and I would have liked to have kept them. I've always thought that the purpose of the avatars is provide an easy way to recognise everyone, and I think that the masks go against that purpose.

Yeah, they do, it makes everyone look the same and hard to find posts when looking up the avatars.

But I am guessing that they are tied together in the software and can't be separated.

Yes, I've already turned it off , do you know when that one will be gone? And what will be the new one coming up?
