- reading books by Joseph Girzone, Max Lucado, and Brennan Manning
- studying psychology
- learning about history (especially European history around the 1500's)
- learning about church history and the Protestant Reformation
- answering weekly discussion questions for my Walden University online course
- volunteering at my local public library once per week
- engaging in light theological discussions (especially at Bible study)
- listening to a really thought-provoking sermon/message
- watching romantic comedy movies
- watching sitcoms like Everybody Loves Raymond and Friends
- watching really good Christian movies
- watching animated movies (rated G or rated PG).

I have more than I can list probably and they tend to overlap.

I LOVE talking to people who visit our Church, are curious about our Church, or talking to those who came from various backgrounds and learning of their spiritual process of growth, and discussing spiritual matters.

I love gardening - for food, flowers, and foliage. I miss the farm but I enjoyed taking care of livestock too. Right now only have a small flock of chickens.

I enjoy animal training. I have nit had a dog in a while, but my cat enjoys learning tricks (though once she learns to do them, she wants to decide what and when I ask her to do, but then she is VERY pleased with herself )

Cooking and sewing, especially in an experimental or creative sense.

Writing. Reading.

Painting, and nearly every kind of arts/crafts I have tried - clay sculpting, jewelry making, home decor, making light furniture, scrap booking, woodworking, and more.

Learning - Greek is my main interest right now but I've enjoyed studying all kinds of things.

And when I have nothing else to do, puzzles and games. I like math and logic puzzles, and word puzzles, and a handful of RPG/Adventure games, such as Final Fantasy and Xenosaga series.

Spending time with family - is probably number 1, along with the first thing I listed above, but I get to do it so rarely, that's probably why I have so many other hobbies/interests.

Definitely agreed. It's refreshing to go outside in the evening or at night and just seek Him in prayer, like talking to your best friend. Although, He is also Lord of the Universe lol. But, that's one thing I look forward to every day.

It's good for God to speak to us from His Word! He is indeed ready to hear the cries of those who trust Him; we also must be ready to listen to His Word.

Jewelry and bodyart can also be absorbing. While I haven't worn earrings for years, the first rings seem to come on the scene sometime before first ink which is often at 18. At Christmas, earrings -some are hand made - make a great gift for both genders, regularly.
