'Hinds feet in high places'

Reading a Christian classic by Hannah Hurnard currently. Has anyone here read it? 'Hinds Feet On High Places'

i have not actually read the entire book. I heard it read on an internet radio station i listen to, however, and loved it.

Read it any years ago mostly all I remember about it was thinking it was a rip off of Pilgrim's Progress

I've heard many times since then that there are serious doctrinal problems with the book but I don't remember what they are and I wasn't a Christian when I read it so I wouldn't have recognized the anyway

Allegory written to encourage the Christian to keep moving to higher ground.

God can bring us higher up the mountain into fellowship with Him and service too.

'The voice of my Beloved! Behold he comes leaping upon the mountains,skipping upon the hills' (Song of Solomon 2:8)

'The LORD God makes my feet like hinds feet and sets me upon mine high places' (Psalms 18:33 and Habakkuk 3:19)

This book has been a blessing to many but sadly Hannah embraced 'Universalism' later in life and new age teaching so be careful with later books by Hannah Hurnard. 'Hinds Feet on Higher Places' was accepted by mainstream Christians as a classic.
