Barbarian observes:
Which is why there was such an uproar when it was found that the Russians sought to rig them to help Donald Trump win.

After all this time and money spent on these investigations we still see no proof of that whatsoever.

Even republicans admit there there is:

WASHINGTON – The Senate Intelligence Committee said on Tuesday it agreed with U.S. intelligence agencies' assessment that the Russian government tried to boost President Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election and weaken Hillary Clinton.
Senate panel says Russia intervened in 2016 election to help Donald Trump, undercut Hillary Clinton

Stop scaring the little children.

Trump and his cronies may act like it, but they aren't little children.

But that's not what she wants she wants the mob rule type of election, you know one of those "popular vote" type elections!

You mean the kind where the voters actually decide who wins? That's what usually happens. It's what the Founders intended. Every now and then, the system glitches and the guy who lost the vote, still wins. It's happened maybe three times. The fact that each time it happened, we got an inferior president, speaks well of the wisdom of the American people. If their will had been followed, we'd have been much better off.

It's easier to stuff 1 ballot box than it is to stuff 50

Actually, we see more rigging in local or state races precisely because it's easier to rig a smaller process. We have four known cases of voter fraud in the last presidential election. Three of them were fraudulent votes for Trump. Would you like to see that?

The preferred method for dictators is what the republicans do; try to limit participation by whatever means possible.

that's why it's so popular in 3rd world countries.

Yep.

Since you like popular vote so much then I guess it's fine that Trump won about 60% of it and was elected in the way the Founding fathers intended, no one state controlling who was president. Right?

Actually, Trump got about 46.1 percent of the vote, compared to Clinton's 48.2 United States presidential election, 2016 - Wikipedia

I'm curious as to why this same silly story keeps making the rounds?

He had to have won more of the 50 popular votes to have won the Electoral College votes, winning those popular votes is how you get over 270.

Pssttt: He also won over 80% of the total number of counties in the US but I guess that means nothing, right?
