Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.
  7. There has been an addition to the announcement regarding unacceptable nick names. The phrase "Let's go Brandon" actually stands for a profanity and will be seen as a violation of the profanity rule in the future.

Not sure what the motive is yet but the video shows a vehicle at high speeds plowing into Christmas revelers at a Christmas parade in Waukesha Wisconsin a town about an hour from Kenosha.

Someone must have been upset that it was called Christmas parade.

Not sure the motive. A witness stated that it definitely looked liked he was hitting people on purpose.

    Lord have mercy.

This is awful. I hope it was just somebody losing control of the vehicle, but it seems too "coincidental" so soon after the Rittenhouse trial.

    Lord, have mercy.

The MO sounds like ISIS, and we know some of their people have been brought into the country. But being in Wisconsin it could also be some Antifa extremist.

I completely agree with you. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and families of this despicable and senseless tragedy.

I just ran across this news article below this morning. This is a new low! :(

Illinois Democrat ties Waukesha tragedy to Rittenhouse case in mocking posts: ‘Probably just self-defense’

Illinois Democrat ties Waukesha tragedy to Rittenhouse case in mocking posts: ‘Probably just self-defense’

After Sunday’s Christmas parade horror in Waukesha, Wisconsin, an Illinois Democrat appeared to portray the tragedy as a form of payback for Friday’s acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha.

"It was probably just self-defense," read one of a series of mocking social media posts from Mary Lemanski, who is listed as the social media director for the Democratic Party in DuPage County, Illinois.

I don't always rush out and post a prayer for victims of tragedy or violence unless it is particularly egregious. If I tried I would get nothing done but posting about such sad stories that happen all too often. But sometimes when a tragedy like this takes place, in the setting and context of merry makers just wanting to escape the lunacy of the age, it hits particularly hard.

I saw it on our New Zealand news, it looked to me like it was done on purpose but it is hard to tell. I heard this morning that 5 children died because of it. No matter the reason, it is horrific. I feel so sorry for the children's family, they all went to a Christmas parade to have fun and then that happens.

Saw this on the news just now...

They have now officially charged Darrell E. Brooks (the man shown above as the possible suspect) with five counts of intentional homicide with additional charges pending. They believe he acted alone with no evidence of a terrorist incident. He had left the scene of a domestic dispute just before police arrived.

They also listed the 5 people who were killed. One woman in her low 50's, three women in their 70's, and one man in his low 80's. Thankfully, no children (though many were injured) but still very horrific. :(
