Some are strict and "over" cautious because they do not want to offend the muslims and other groups there. One prison that I trained at even had a group of wiccans come in weekly until prayer removed them. :]

Yes I had quite a hard time turning over these men and women to that bunch but I ultimately had no choice. However us christians started praying and much confusion come into that particular group and they quit coming, So God sent them packing but there are many other heresys being taught in prisons that need prayer warriors to stand in and take it to Jesus.

The JW had a presence in the places I went. They make it difficult because they attack the Word directly. This creates much confusion since they claim to follow the same God. It's easy to spot a Satan worshiper but when the enemy sends "ministers of righteousness" to confuse the issue it becomes difficult.

I changed my label to Baptist. I decided that since I preach it, I just as soon wear it as well lol.
I have been a Baptist for many many years but had to wear a Non - denominational or christian badge as to enter the jails and prisons to minister and while in training as a chaplain that deals with many "religions".
Well now I can show that I am a Blood washed and grace covered Baptist believing man of God.

I’m glad that you can do God’s Work. I personally checked into the Chaplin program so as to gain access to prisons and such. However, I could not profess another God for a non Christian. I have taught at two different universities and worked a great portion of my career as the chief engineer as I am a mechanical engineer. Spiritual life and experiences do not align with the world. For me, about 30 years ago, Christ came to me and continues to grow me.

I haven't moved any mountains or uprooted any trees and placed them in the ocean yet however I am sure if God so wills me too, I will at that time.
I am studying the Word and just hanging on to what I know is truth.
God is driving and I am just along for the ride with my Master and King. His will be done in my life.

Holy macaroni! I had no idea how many different Baptist affiliations there are...and yet, my churches affiliation still isn't on that list. How many Baptists are there?

Personally I think it's a shame they do that to people, I mean we are what we are. Maybe they should read their Bibles a little closer especially the passages where Jesus spoke about ears and hearing, and the enabler and source of hearing?

I have had 2 friends tell me they would never visit my church because baptist was in the name and the doctrine we stand for...one is no longer someone I spend time with ( her choice) the other had issues with believing Bible because it was "written" by man

Sorry to hear about troubles with friends, I can relate all too well. You should have asked the one if she has issues with believing math, science, grammar, logic, business, politics, history, economics, etc. textbooks, because they're all written by man too. But you can pray, ask the Lord to change her unbelieving heart, to believe the true Gospel of Christ.
