  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

Are you living in the Kingdom?

Is the Kingdom of God within you?

Does it reign over you and your life?

Do you find your citizenship there or are you still focused on the principles and ways of the Kingdoms of this world?

I think cookies taste good, and oranges as well. Sometimes I like to eat clouds, but this takes some imagination, and sometimes I actually taste them. Yummy.

The kingdom of God is like the cloud cookie, it takes a lot of faith, a lot of imagination, and some child-likeness to fully embrace.

Totally there, only place I actually belong.

Haha, much love to you Michael, of course to all of our brothers and sisters who are believers and unbelievers seeking truth. Great comment, haha, and I agree.

People often forget to separate king from kingdom and realize that it is God'w will as king being done, his governance, his kingdom that is occurring. We follow his will rather than the self serving will of mankind.

Ever since Christ was revealed in me His Kingdom has grown. i see this process as a growing reality within me. In my world of being much has come to heed Him but i still have those times when i'm less than faithful and fall. Yet even over such times Jesus rules as King.

Nevertheless i still look forward to His Revealing to the world around me and see Revelation 1:7 literally come true. For i want to see this whole world ruled by His loving truth, just like the Psalmist says.

    Psalms 22:27-28
"All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
    will bow down before him,
for dominion belongs to the Lord

and he rules over the nations.
    "

That is very funny @timothyu ! You are right when you say, sometimes we as believers can gets the Kingdom of God mixed in with the kingdom of the world. We are part of a heavenly kingdom that is not of this world. Jesus said that himself.

His kingdom is not of this world, otherwise his servants would fight, with this saying it also reminds us of the peace we can have by understanding that. Which in turn we do not have to fight over who is right or who is wrong, or who is better than anyone else because when we believe and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ we are invited into a whole new way of life that brings spiritual rebirth and transforms our old ways and nature! :) (Please correct me if I understood anything wrongly about what you are saying)

@Jeshu , you by the spirit show the kindness and mercy that God has shown us through his son Jesus Christ by your response. You seem to desire that of what God desires, for the whole world to look and see Jesus, and to be transformed.

To turn from the darkness and see the bright goodness that comes from God, and our Lord and Savior Yeshua Christ.

You are right when sometimes we do fail too, I agree. Sometimes we do fail from time to time, to be loving towards God, or sometimes we act on our own self will instead of trusting God first, even being rude to a neighbor cause of just the flesh and how it is. (unless I'm reading that wrong please correct me)

It has been made apparent now to me as a believer in the Lord, there really is power that comes from God to transform us, the ones who have been given a chance to look and read the bible, are able to share with others the truths it shares.

The Word of God, can help us, transform us into what God would desire us to be by the spirit that indwells us as believers.

It's not about being better than someone, It's not about being correct on every single dot and tittle, It is ultimately about a relationship with God our Creator, and allowing the new nature to transform us, from the old (worldly nature) to a renewed mindful (spiritual nature). That causes so much thankfulness (even in suffering) towards God and more joy, peace, forgiveness, love, kindness, toward others.

Thank you so much for your comments, and may the grace of God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ be with anyone who is seeking truth, may peace also follow along suit right beside the Light that shines so bright.

That about covers it. The Kingdom is a counter-culture to the world of man.

The kingdom is wherever Christ is. As He said, "the kingdom is in your midst". Where is Christ? He is, of course, at the right hand of the Father and He fills all things, this is true; but where is Christ here, with us, in our midst?

Wherever the word is preached, wherever the Sacraments are administered, there is Christ. He is in His Church, tangibly, materially present in the Eucharist, which is His own very flesh and blood. And it is through these, His precious word, body, and blood that He deigns to reign in us, by the Holy Spirit who lives in us. Christ has established a sure and stable house in which to dwell, a holy temple which is His own Body, His Church.

If we abide in Him, then His kingdom is right here. The kingdom is not something that can be seen with observation, where one can say, "Look, there!" or "Look, here!" It is Christ Himself, the King who reigns, that is where the kingdom is. The kingdom is not found in glory and in power, but in weakness, and in foolishness, it is found in the cross.

Christ says that the least is greatest, the last shall be first. Every hungry mouth that is fed, every thirsty tongue that is parched, every naked body that is clothed, every sick person who is treated, every prisoner that is visited, every stranger that is welcomed--the kingdom is present. Christ is present.

We have entered into the heavenly kingdom by the grace of God, by our new birth through baptism by which we were made new creatures in Jesus Christ; and by the indwelling Holy Spirit and by His own precious gifts of Word and Sacrament Christ dwells with and within us, and thus we have entered the kingdom and the kingdom has entered us.

And truly, and this we should take special note of during this holy season of Advent, this season of hope, that the kingdom has come and the kingdom is coming. Christ the Lord in swaddling clothes, Christ the Lord in bread and wine, Christ the Lord who will come again.

'Are you living in the Kingdom?'

As long as I am living in my mind and not immersed in the world of man.
