• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

In this post, I will replace my ocd fear with an other, typical ocd fear because I do not want to say my true ocd fear. Some minutes ago, as I was scrolling on reddit, I saw a comic with a guy who had beard. Just a normal comic. That reminded me about my ocd fear of gems. I imagined the guy having gems hidden on his beard. 5-10 seconds later, I scrolled and saw a different post, probably from a different redditor, who had a different comic strip in which one guy had an insect hidden to his beard. I freaked! was that a coincidence? I imagined my ocd fear in a comic and 5 seconds later, I saw it in a comic. i am anxious

Welcome, Kostilaks . I see you haven't posted for a while, but apparently you've had a rather serious panic attack today. I will pray for your ability to overcome this setback, and renew your full trust in Jesus as your only hope of salvation.

Again, be assured that the incidents you experience are either coincidence or a test from the evil one. Jesus will not reject you for getting caught up and confused due to a compulsion, nor will he reject you for making a foolish statement when it is triggered by OCD. Jesus is your friend and the only one you need to emerge victorious from the enemy's schemes.

Again, I pray for your confidence and well-being. I hope your absence was because you were handling your challenges better. I'm sure others on the forum would enjoy hearing from you occasionally when you are having good days, as I would.
