What does this mean? Mathew 10:23:

"I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes."

Two possible explainations:

The present nation of 'Israel' won't allow Christian evangelizing.

The nations that comprise the real nation of Israel (the so-called lost tribes) grow so fast that 'finishing' is not possible.

What does this mean? Mathew 10:23:

That was to a specific people in a specific time. Do not read a future last days into it...It was a message to those he sent out then and call them back.

It is part of a parallel verse to Luke 9.1 ; 10.9 about the first mission journey of the 12 and the 70

It also is a type or shadow about the coming persecution of Christians to come ( 400 years ) .... before the Holy Roman Empire ,and prophetic about the 144000 evangelists of the endtimes to the nation of Israel

it is not an indication that He was coming back in 6 months to rule and reign ... this was an error that Paul spoke of , regarding the doctrine of " the soon coming return of Jesus " ... many people quit worked , hung out and waited for his return ... like many of the end time groups of this century
