I'm 53, an Objectivist, and I love discussing ideas. Not interested in debating the existence of gods but rather am interested in Metaphysics, Epistemology, and Ethics. I find that I have very little in common with other atheists, philosophically. I'm a woodcarver and an avid cyclist and bikepacker.

Thank you. I am a follower of her ideas. Unfortunately, I never got to meet her. I have read all of her fiction and just about all of her non-fiction. I highly recommend Philoshophy: Who needs it and Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology.

The only book of hers that I could not finish is We The Living. It was so horrible what happened to the characters of that book and so depressing, both times I've read it I've ended up putting it down. I do like some parts of the book though. My favorite part is when she tells the communist to be careful of ice on the steps when he comes to arrest her.

That's good about the Philosophy forum.
