I believe god spoke to me dec 6th. He called my name twice. I’ve been a Christian for 41 years and that’s the first time. I was wondering if anyone has heard him? Like he spoke actual words.... it’s happened a second time since then. Am I crazy or has this been true for anyone else?

From what I can tell God speaks to people in different ways: Sometimes it is with impressions, feelings, intuitions and inspirations. Some people hear an audible voice, while others get visions, dreams, visits by angels etc.
While other believers are kind of oblivious that this thing is still suppose to happen, which is largely how I was raised. You were just suppose to pray and hope for the best, but there was zero expectation of any kind of experience like this happening.

I've had several and I will share one with you. My wife and I were driving down the highway when we saw a van pulled to the side of the road and people were standing in a circle on the other side all looking down at the ground. I then said to my wife, "I wonder what's going on there". I then heard a voice that was internal and not audible. The voice said, "These people have a flat tire and they have a spare but they have no jack".
So I told my wife about hearing the voice and what I heard the voice say to me. She then looked up at me astonished saying, "I heard the same thing". I then got off the next exit and back on going the other way and then off and on again so as to come up behind them. I pulled up behind them and they watched me as I got out. As I approached them I said, "God told me you were praying for someone to bring you a jack". They immediately began jumping up in down with great joy and it was a wonderful experience to have been a part of.

Thank you, it just happened. I know it was him I just knew why he called me when he did. I was wondering if anyone who was called as a prophet, had it started that way. Because sometimes i
thank you! The second time my daughter heard it too. She thought I said something and answered it. When he spoke to me! I feel so much better. I heard it internal that time.

Yes, the Bible says His sheep hear His voice. He doesn’t always speaks audible, but He does. One of my favorites is when He uses the voice of my mother or father to wake me up when I overslept and I am late =)

But yes - I get an inner voice but not in Words - more like a deep 'knowing'
Case in point - enjoying dinner with a friend in Jerusalem and half way through the meal... LEAVE IMMEDIATELY... !!!
I apologise and grab a taxi to return to Gilo where I was boarding.
Taxi pulls up - heavy rain - I see the host running down the road - I yell out 'whats wrong' - yells back 'my wife is having a heart attack going to get the GP.'
I go inside - she is crying out not to be taken, aunt died of same symptoms at same age.
thinks... do I call a Pastor to pray... mmmm... must be me then...
Feel pulse about 130 light fluttery.
Then He gives me discernment. And authority to pray against condition.
Healed in 2 minutes - no relapse.
This event gave me the opportunity to speak into their ministry of giving refuge to believing Jews.
So YES... He speaks...

As for your question, Samuel comes immediately to mind.
The Prophetic Call to Samuel
1 Samuel 3
1 Now the boy Samuel was ministering to the LORD before Eli. And word from the LORD was rare in those days, visions were infrequent.
2 It happened at that time as Eli was lying down in his place (now his eyesight had begun to grow dim and he could not see well),
3 and the lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the LORD where the ark of God was,
4 that the LORD called Samuel; and he said, “Here I am.”
5 Then he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” But he said, “I did not call, lie down again.” So he went and lay down.
6 The LORD called yet again, “Samuel!” So Samuel arose and went to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” But he answered, “I did not call, my son, lie down again.”
7 Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, nor had the word of the LORD yet been revealed to him.
8 So the LORD called Samuel again for the third time. And he arose and went to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” Then Eli discerned that the LORD was calling the boy.
9 And Eli said to Samuel, “Go lie down, and it shall be if He calls you, that you shall say, ‘Speak, LORD, for Your servant is listening.’ ” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 Then the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for Your servant is listening.”
11 The LORD said to Samuel, “Behold, I am about to do a thing in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.
12 “In that day I will carry out against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end.
13 “For I have told him that I am about to judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knew, because his sons brought a curse on themselves and he did not rebuke them.
14 “Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.”
15 So Samuel lay down until morning. Then he opened the doors of the house of the LORD. But Samuel was afraid to tell the vision to Eli.
16 Then Eli called Samuel and said, “Samuel, my son.” And he said, “Here I am.”
17 He said, “What is the word that He spoke to you? Please do not hide it from me. May God do so to you, and more also, if you hide anything from me of all the words that He spoke to you.”
18 So Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, “It is the LORD; let Him do what seems good to Him.”
19 Thus Samuel grew and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fail.
20 All Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was confirmed as a prophet of the LORD.
21 And the LORD appeared again at Shiloh, because the LORD revealed Himself to Samuel at Shiloh by the word of the LORD.

This should be the normal experience for all believers.
Sadly, far too many churches teach that God doesn't speak today, causing millions of Christians to be deaf as a post towards God.
As for me, I first heard the Lord speak to me over 50 years ago. I have lost track of the thousands of times that has happened since then.
On one occasion, hearing and immediately responding to the voice of God saved me from death.
