Hello everyone. I didn't know where to put this, and figured this gets many different things.
The cost of health insurance keeps going up at a big rate. Next years projection is in excess
of 20% than what I have now, and the deductible will raise over $4000.
So, I am looking at what else there is available.
Since I have pre-existing conditions it will be difficult.
Short term insurance (which will be modified to up to a year) so that is not an option.
The other option are medical share plans.
There is about 5 or 6 main one's. Two have a benefit I like, they use "PHCC" to process
claims....this also get you the good discounts....rather than pay $120 for an office
call, it might only be $60....same on labs, radiology, etc.
Also you just show your card and that's it, no explaining to a clerk that doesn't have
a clue and doesn't understand.
So will accept pre-existing, but no coverage for a while. I do find some of their
statements tho, a bit out there.....such as curing diabetes...you never cure
diabetes (type 2), its just a matter of how it is controlled
Also, I noticed many do not cover prescription medications, or are very limited.

I would like to know if any people out there carry this type of "insurance", and what
problems, concerns, etc, that you may have/had.
thank you
