I saw Mars last week, I was camping in Acadia National Park (Maine, USA). Our campground was 100 yds from the ocean, facing east, so we sat up late one night and watched Mars...and then watched the full moon rise...it was beautiful!

I’ve been watching Mars for several months each night as I walk the dogs. It is stunning to say the least

I was just out admiring Mars with the ol' binoculars. Reminds me of the way Jupiter looked a couple years ago (basically, a bright yellow-orange disc, except without the moons).

I wish I had a telescope so I could see it in more detail. Oh well, ce la vie.

We went to the local Astronomy Club which had its members set up their telescopes for the public. What a view! The skeeters were terrible so we only stayed until 9:45 - saw the ice cap (I think) but the real thrill was seeing the stars. There are billions more than we can see with the naked eye. Our God is indeed a mighty God. It took my breath away!!!

It was still pretty cool. I imagine the Hubble is getting some good shots.

Hai, you're right My bad. Those are nice pics. I would have thought the Hubble wouldn't have been able to focus on it.
