Have a good memory; be a good memory.

• “The memory of the just is blessed; but the name of the wicked shall rot.” (Pro 10:7).

The memory of the righteous amass good things to everyone around them. So, everybody remembers them as a badge of boons.

• “A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of one's birth.” (Ecc 7:1)
• “Surely he shall not be moved forever; the righteous shall be remembered forever.” (Psa 112:6)

On the other hand, the name (the identity) of the wicked will always make people think and feel bad things. So, one of the things:

1 – or the person will be forgotten:

• “And so I saw the wicked buried, and they came and went from the holy place. And they were forgotten in the city, these things that they had done. This is also vanity.” (Ecc 8:10)

2 – or will be an example of curse, as we can see in regard to Balaam, Jezebel (Rev 2:20)

And the worst is that:

• “Their inward thought is that their houses shall go on forever, and their dwelling-places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.” (Psa 49:11)

What is the profit in preserve the name of someone who only brings bad remembrance?

If we long for being deemed forever, let’s allow Jesus to live in us and, certainly, our name will be written in the Book of Life in order to be an example and inspiration to everyone that will inherit the eternal life.

Have a blessed day arising what it exists of best in each person around you.
