  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.
  7. There has been an addition to the announcement regarding unacceptable nick names. The phrase "Let's go Brandon" actually stands for a profanity and will be seen as a violation of the profanity rule in the future.

6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

No, The Church has always been Israel, but not Israel after the flesh, or the physical nation of Israel See within the physical nation of Israel was always a remnant according to the election of Grace, which is also Israel. Now under the Old Covenant Spiritual Israel, the Body of Christ was mostly comprised of saved jewish Christians. They would usually be persecuted by the non christian jews in the nation Matt 5:12

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets[Believers in Crist] which were before you.

    Lk 13:34

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

Now under the New Covenant, Body of Christ Israel the election of Grace has been multiplied by saving and grafting in multitudes into Spiritual Israel, which is still the Body of Christ ! So The Body of Christ, Israel according to the Spirit, the Election of Grace is not a replacement, it always has been, its now clarified who they are.

1 Peter 2:9 Peter proclaims this prophecy of the Church showing the Church is Israel.

“You will be to me a kingdom of priests, my holy nation. Those are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.’” Exodus 19:6 (REB)

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV 1900)

After Jesus was raised from the dead, Jews started the ministry of the Gospel. And these and other obedient Jews have not been displaced or replaced.

But who does Jesus say are the ones who are blessed?

    "the poor in spirit"

    "the merciful"

    "the meek"

    "the pure in heart"

Not "the Jews" or "the Gentiles" >

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)

So, all of us have been replaced by the new person of Jesus being formed within us.

"My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you," (Galatians 4:19)

    I don't think so...

    There are two Israel's.

I don't think His purpose for the Jews as a people is finished.

We are yet to see the dry bones come to life.

The Church is the entire whole of faithful believers.
They could be from the moon or anywhere.
But it is not any organised group or social mob.
Israel was an archetype or parallel of all future believers.

God removed the unbelievers from Israel when He abolished circumcision. Those unbelievers hate Christ (God) more than anyone else and exist as a State only because of their hatred of Him. The believing Jews accepted Christ and are biblical Israel today.

Carl I would disagree with you. I believe that their purpose as the physical nation ended after the Death of Christ. God began that nation primarily for the Messiah to arise from. who was to be Saviour of His People from around the world.

Just to clarify - I am not called to teach on end times - I leave the arguing to others.

However I do like to ask questions.

When was the Ezekiel prophesy of the dry bones fulfilled?

When else was a Nation born in a day. (think 1948)

Why does Paul claim all Israel will be saved when as you suggest that had already happened at the cross.

    When Paul wrote Rom 11:25-27

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 for this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins

The All Israel that shall be saved is not the physical nation of Israel, but Spiritual Israel, the Body of Christ, comprised of Abrahams Spiritual seed of promise, consisting of jews and gentiles. So in this manner, by the calling in of the Gentile Elect, Sheep together with the jew elect sheep, all Israel shall be saved, the Body of Christ !

Carl, you are using world events and cutting and pasting scripture, already fulfilled to claim their fulfillment. Hal Lindsay made millions doing this. Once you understand the Church is Biblical Israel, the OT prophecies are fulfilled in us. The broken-off unbelievers are now gentiles with Jewish customs. They exist only because of their hatred and rejection of God (Jesus Christ). The real Israel embraced Christ as King and exists as the Church today.

Well, I am not convinced, Yes the Church is the New Israel but there are prophesies that refer to the Nation that are not fulfilled.

Happy to be proved wrong but I suspect I am not alone...

Correct, the Church has not REPLACED Israel.

    The Church IS Israel.

The Gentile members of the Church are the wild branches that have been grafted in. The Jewish members of the Church are the native branches that were always part of the tree, or were grafted back in when they came to belief in Christ.

Prophecy is always a promise. Whether for wrath or blessing.
