I was curious if people can usually find books they like by their cover or not. Feel free to give examples of books you bought based on the cover and whether or not you ended up enjoying them.

For me there are almost too many to mention.

That you bought based on their cover and liked or bought based on their cover and didn't like?

Either way, you can name some that were memorable if you want.

Well with a few exceptions, I really like the cover design on most of the books I own, which is to say, I purchased and then retained in my library, but I am kind of a connoisseur of graphics design. Usually a good book will have at a minimum an elegant cover; I can tell by the covers of certain genre books like, say, romance novels or most fantasy and horror novels that its not something I want to go near. So for the books I have, there is kind of a synergy of the arts, especially some of the tabletop books I have on car design, railroads, ocean liners, aviation, etc.
