Why would expect to necessarily understand another person's point of view?

I can't, for instance, understand the point of view of any Trump supporter. Seriously. Dealing with Trump supporters for me is like dealing with a being from another planet when discussing Trump. Or rather, like dealing with dyed-in-the-wool Soviets or Islamic terrorists as far as understanding their points of view is concerned.

However, I accept that their points of view are their points of view, and that they will operate according to their points of view. I just need to know what their points of view are.

I’m just trying to figure out where these attacks came from. They are mentioned generically, but nothing specific.

Quote from source: Harris says "And look, this is the same thing they did to Barack (Obama). This is not new to us and so I think that we know what they are trying to do."

And by "they" she means the Liberal media and those in the African American community who didn't believe that Obama was "Black Enough" to represent them. Not to be confused by Trump supporters who are now being labeled as racist.
    Is Obama Black Enough?

I whole heartedly agree. I cannot tell you how many times I have been accused of not being "Hispanic enough" or called a "traitor" because I support legal immigration and a border wall. It was kinda humorous that I was once called a disgrace because I made the mistake of throwing tortillas in the microwave rather than roasting them on the comal ;). I am just fed up with the identity politics, race baiting, and political pandering to minorities. Of course this is all about getting votes.

    How so?

How were we "played" by our country?

Show me one example of systemic racism and I will condemn it. Although there are racist people in the country, there is no example of systemic racism?

I understand that you have the right to your opinions and feelings. But do not confuse them with facts.

It is also frivolous. What difference does it make?
She is American. She either has something about her that makes it worthwhile for people to vote for her, or she doesn’t.
This is all intersectional nonsense. Whether she is black, blue or pink, or not black enough or pink enough or blue enough tells us nothing of what she has to offer.
People are really obsessed with superficial. Maybe that tells us that there is nothing deep or principled in their own value system.

Apparently the attacks are coming from the Democrat African American base.

    Stop questioning Kamala Harris’ ‘Blackness’
"The need is too urgent. Dear so-called “woke” Black people: Sen. Kamala Harris is not the enemy. Please do not continue to question her commitment to the causes that Black Americans hold so dear. Do not hold her to an unattainable standard and most importantly, do not question her Blackness."

What Does Being “Black Enough” Mean for Kamala Harris?
"Harris’s “Blackness” is also under scrutiny. Whether someone is “Black enough” or Black in the right way is a tricky, sensitive question, one that many feel shouldn’t even be asked, particularly of someone who is being maligned the way Harris is. The situation is muddled, because Black Americans are asking these questions of Harris for different reasons — some of these reasons are facile and rooted in bad faith, others are trying to get at deeper issues of cultural identity and allegiance. Personally, I don’t think the question should be dismissed out of hand.

Why Kamala Harris is glad people are asking if she's black enough
"Kamala Harris keeps getting asked if she’s black enough.

And the California Democrat — whose presidential campaign is closely monitoring questions around her candidacy shared among African Americans and young people — has been more than happy to answer."

Furthermore, it may be important to note that we will probably never know the true identities or motives of whatever memes are floating around. But based on the trends and reports, it is more probable that these attacks are coming from African Americans who are not pleased with her track record as a California DA and prosecuting attorney. He as been accused by many African Americans for not being "Black Enough" because her prosecuting black people. Not because of her mixed race.

The Two Faces of Kamala Harris

I believe that the reason the reference found in the OP did not provide specific details on the attackers was because it is more advantageous to the ideology to the left if they pushed a false narrative which draws people to assume that the attacks are coming from the right. We have seen evidence of this in this thread.

Democrats in general and African-Americans in particular are working out which candidate they want to run for president. The real question is whether Harris properly and completely represents the collective Democrat interest.

Here is my question for this topic: Why do you care? Why are you involved? Why have you invested an interest?

On one hand, "Black people voted for Obama just because he's black."

On the other hand "Black people didn't believe Obama was black enough to represent them."

This is so rich in its irony.

You don't have our interest at heart.

Y'all need to get out of our business.

I really am not concerned about which democratic candidate you are planning on supporting. The OP question is in regards to who is attacking Harris' "Blackness", based on the information I provided, it seems to be a result of some internal conflicts within the black community regarding her track record as a DA and prosecutor. Not as a result of racism as some people have suggested in this thread.

But they voted for him regardless of his perceived lack of "blackness".

I believe you are the one who claimed it does not exist. What data are you looking at to reach that conclusion?

Yay! Post number 100! :) Other than the obvious lack of data that suggest it does exist? How about the fact that we had a black President. If there was "systemic racism" how did Barack Obama become President for not one, but two terms and why did he not do anything about it?
