Yes your're right but originally they would have not know this till the end of Adar when the Barley was was checked for it's ripeness and because this year looks set to be a 13 month year (on God's Calendar) then in all likely-hood there are two Adar's this year and therefore two Purims. You're probably not familiar with all of this and so it doesn't make any sense to you.Where on earth do people get such ideas? Purim is March 12th this year, Adar 14.

The pagan Roman Julian/Gregorian calendar that we now use was only created in 45 BC, before this time it did not exist. Therefore, the current 7 day rolling week we currently use only began at that time. Let's try this again: I'm very familiar with all the calendar mishegas that has arisen since the mid 1990's, and regard it as narishkeit arising outside the Jewish community.You're probably not familiar with all of this and so it doesn't make any sense to you.
