Easter Sunday can also be a day when we celebrate women. Mark tells us that it was three women—Mary Magdalene, Mary the Mother of James and Salome—who were the first to find the empty tomb. John tells us that it was Mary who was the first to see the risen Christ, and that she then was the first to preach the Good News of His resurrection to the disciples (who were in hiding).

They saw it first. They told it first. They were right. He is risen! Alleluia!

Happy Easter too!

We walked to church in the morning. Our church had a Easter service followed by a picnic lunch at a local park. I invited a couple of friends from church over for a lovely roast dinner and cool drinks in the garden too. What are your plans for Easter Monday?
