I keep running into this problem. So I searched for an answer but it still doesn't work! Any solutions?

If you buy a bottle of hand soap, lotion, or other pump dispenser item, sometimes the plunger dispenser is locked down so it won't accidentally squirt while being transported.

To unlock the plunger, hold the bottle and twist the plunger counterclockwise until it pops up.

Occasionally, the plunger will rotate but not pop up. To remedy this, unscrew the plunger from the bottle and remove it. Wipe the soap or lotion off the stem. Grasp the stem in one hand and the plunger in the other hand and twist it counterclockwise.

My soap and my lotion, if poured without the pump, put too much into my hand and I end up with wasted contents. This is becoming annoying!

With practice you can get most every drop back in the bottle.
One solution is to water down the contents. I delete all my
shampoo almost in half with water. Its runny but much more
predictable after you get used to it. I have short hair so I usually
dilute it again and again. My hair hardly notices the dilutions.

Good advice other than you should have mentioned we must read all the warning signs on the shampoo containers.
