Howdy! What kind of costumes do you think Christians should or shouldn't wear in Halloween?

I think anything that isn't unnecessarily gruesome or immodest is fine. Lots of kids go as Disney princesses, superheroes. I think that's wholesome & fine.

I heard some people saying dressing up as a nun, priest or monk is disrespectful toward Lord's servants.

How does celebrating Halloween give glory to Jesus? Are you thankful for it? If you dress up as an angel ... does that make it ok?

We give glory to Jesus in all chances, not only the ones we "think" we do.

You are comparing using a computer to celebrating Halloween? LOL

well ... I guess if you are convinced there is nothing wrong with it and believe the Lord puts His blessing on it, then that's between you and the Lord.

I am sure that God is offended by witches who celebrate Samhain today. However, I don't think He objects to children putting on costumes and collecting candy. As I said in a similar thread, if you disagree with trick or treating by all means do not pass out candy tonight.

I live very remote and have not had tricker-treaters ever, 25 years. Before I became Christian I did allow my child to trick or treat ... but that was before I was aware of its origins as (I was brought up in a non-christian home) and by the time that happened he had "grown out of it" and had no interest in it. And yeah, if my living circumstances were different yeah ... the light would not be on as one has the choice to participate or not ... and that don't make a person mean or anything ... just choose not to participate just like in a lot of things. Doubt the Lord we hold be accountable for not participating.
