As Phil Connors is just a simple character in Groundhog Day.. Should he still go to church or repent as it lacks meaning when things happen over and over again? Isn't that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, specifically patience for meaningful worship? Or would it be important for him to not lose faith, belief and everyday teaching as he walks with Jesus Christ among great challenges to overcome?

Phil Connors needs to know why he lives a defeated life. If he asks, God will show him that defeat is an aberration, not the normal way of life for a Christian. Lord Jesus saves His people from their sins. That's His job description. It is not just going to heaven when you die. I'd advise Phil to read "The Normal Christian Life" by Watchman Nee.
