Wow - that reminds me of Halloween 1986. My girlfriend (now wife) and I went dancing at the local Mexican bar where they played this. I was wearing one of her dresses, and she was wearing one of my jumpsuits...

The Blues began it's transition to R&B toward the end of the decade. Listen to this love ballad by Brook Benton. It came out when I was little but I can appreciate it much better today.
