Actual language from a preamble of a “church constitution”….a graven image:
We “do ordain and establish this church constitution, to which we voluntarily and solemnly submit ourselves”.
How can this be when we are told not to subject ourselves to man’s ordinances (man’s written commandments) that he has written for himself to self-govern…to serve and worship?
The “rudiments” are the “fundamental principles” of which a “constitution” is. We belong under the kingdom/reign of God and not the church handwritings of fleshly-minded men.
Colossians 2:20-23 KJV
(20) Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
(21) (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
(22) Which all are to perish with the using) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
(23) Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
We are not to make idols nor graven images….that is, man’s graven handwritings of ordinances.
Yet, we find in every church “statements of faith, church constitutions, church bylaws, dogmas, etc, etc, etc).
Many are serving (working) and worshipping their own fabrications...their own handwritings ...and are using them to judge themselves and others with. It has become another “god”….another Elohim or JUDGE...when there is only One Judge .
They have been established in every church gathering. They are a “standing image”….handwritings of men that are highly exalted and established in every church. They do not move from their position in the churches of men. Men perish with the using of them as these documents are passed down to future generations to keep and revere.
I am the LORD your God = there should not be another JUDGE (Elohim) found in a lifeless, handwritten document of man that is being used to judge others with.
The LORD is the Living One (the I AM) who is THE Judge of all. Why judge another using the handwritings of dogmas? There is only One Lawgiver (not the “laws” found in man’s handwritings). There is only One Judge (one God).
Leviticus 26:1 KJV
(1) Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.
The handwriting of church ordinances is an abomination unto the LORD.

And they are placed in the holy place (the secret place = covering) where it should not be found. Only the blood of Christ atones….covers…us and not the “works of righteousness” as decreed in the church handwritings of fleshly-minded men.

Men have placed their handwritings of dogmas in the places of the worship of God. They have made the “images” of their abominations and have set their detestable things therein. They set them up in their gatherings. They are established and do not move from there.

We are not redeemed with the decayed things….the church handwritings of the church scribes…which do not save the mortal flesh of anyone. They are “graven images” found where they do not belong…in the place of His worship.
The church documents were made by man’s wisdom (gold) and man’s understanding (silver). They are considered precious handwritings to those who serve and revere them. They also enrich themselves using them.
These handwritings of ordinances by the church “fathers” that have been passed down from one generation to another cannot redeem us . We cannot be atoned for by the working of them….their so-called “works of righteousness” as decreed in their handwritings.
1 Peter 1:18-20 KJV
(18) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
Only with the precious blood of Christ as a lamb without blemish and without spot can we be redeemed. We must keep His daily sacrifice in our lives now in this earth so that His eternal life can appear in our mortal flesh.
(19) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
(20) Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
The church handwritings of ordinances (dogmas) are the “graven images” that are placed into the places of the worship of God where they should not be found. They are highly exalted inside the churches of men.
The graven images contain what man thinks in his own mind (dogma = what one thinks is right) are the correct works of righteousness….but are carnal commandments of men.
The “graven image”…the handwriting of ordinances…are “shadows” of things to come. Image = shade, shadow. These church handwriting of ordinances cannot save us.

Many are using them to judge themselves and others as well. they are other gods...other elohim that have no life...rather than the One Living Judge.
(16) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
(17) Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Let no man beguile (defraud) you of the eternal life of Jesus by leading you into the voluntary submission to his handwritings (the worshipping of “angels”/messages). They are robbers who seek to deceive us.
Yet, many go to “church” where they voluntarily, humbly, solemnly submit themselves to the handwritings of dogmas that they think is correct. They do them and defend them.
(18) Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
