  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, I'm going to say right now that I'm thrilled to go and see Spiderman 3. One thing that made me ponder how well it will go is who is playing Eddie Brock in the film. Topher Grace, best known for Eric from That 70's Show, is going to be playing the gruesome beast Venom. At first I was skeptical of this, since I only know Grace as the skinny Star Wars nerd from the 70's. However, the more I think about it, and the more fan made trailers I've seen, I think Grace can pull it off. The problem before was I kept thinking of just Venom, the mass of bulging anger and power. However, Grace is playing Brock, and envious rival of Peter Parker, which works well with his look.

Your thoughts. :)
