Goodbye All

I want to say Good bye to all who are here. I will no longer be frequenting the SDA sub forum. That does not mean that from time to time I will not stop in to say HI, but I no longer see the point in coming here and arguing about things I no longer believe in. Undoubhtedly there will be some that will be glad to see me go, and other that will be sad, but I Think it is time to move foreward. this is just spinning my wheels.

Since my 2 month Abscence, I have had time to reflect on the culture of the SDA forum, and I must say it is SAD. SAD since many people are making Defending or Attacking SDA beliefs a way of life. oh my gosh, some one belives differently then me. Wow really!!! Not everyone agree with me??, NOt every one sees things the way I do?? People seemed shocked at this. Attack Attack Attack, is the code word. hystera, gloom, the sky is falling. wow get over it. I am personally glad about finding out about the problems with SDA theology. I would rather live in truth then support a lie. If you can't handle the truth then you should not be in the truth business. Adventism Claims to have the "truth", so it is all or nothing with them. I'm not an all or nothing kind of person. I have learned all a lot while here and a lot of good thing from Adventism, but I can no longer support it as a System, so I see no point in being here any more, The social subforum was the last attempt to create a place for people who want to visit and socialize but there is not enough support for it people would rather argue, then be social.

well I think I've said enough. I've learned all I can and there is no point in being here. Good-bye

I'll be sad to see you go my friend. We don't often agree with one another but I still love you as a brother and I want to see you in the kingdom. I think the sda sytem of theology is as close as you can get and still remain an organized church. Are they perfect in all respects? Absolutely not, but you know what, this side of heaven I don't think we can expect anything but the love of God and Jesus Christ to be perfect.

Well Ice, that is the way it has always been, didn't you know this by now? If you are Adventist and don't tow the Trad party line, you are on a one way ticket to Hell, bottom line. Sugarcoat it, spin it, dress up in the nicest frills possible, but the ugly core truth remains.

The most intolerant, exclusive, elitist, ultra-conservative religious systems on earth: Traditional Judaism, Traditional Roman Catholicism, Traditional Islam and Traditional Adventism.

Wow, you think that's a coincidence?

Since I am going to be banned soon and banished to the abyss with Senti, I may bail out of this place as well. It is useless to try and reason with or deal with, on any level, the TSDA mindset. Of course, I always knew this, but this forum has more than confirmed that.

I can't stand the thought of leaving and giving exactly what many in this place want though. That's probably the only thing keeping me here right now-not wanting to give them the satisfaction!

Hugs to you, Ice. Your post had many truths in it. For those who make this place an inordinately large part of their lives this is indeed a sad, sad place.

Thankfully, I don't think I've ever been anywhere in real life where the atmosphere was as poisonous as this forum - except maybe during some 'family meetings' that involved mental health professionals and a certain insane member of my family.... come to think of it there are some striking similarities!

Hope you enjoy your life in the real world.
