He is not easy or simple but St. Thomas Aquinas was perhaps the best apologist. Lee Strobel, Josh McDowell are popular and easier to understand.

Not if you mean easy obvious proof! (but don't worry, there is something far better!)

Because God wants faith from us -- believe before any obvious proof.

That's the primary goal we hear over and over in the New Testament -- faith itself (and the other big goal is to love).

That's so crucial -- real faith, the primary goal we are told over and over: is believing without seeing, without easy proof.

Even strong faith isn't about seeing proof of any kind:
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.

Now, you can though definitely learn ways to untangle some of the wrong ideas people have that have helped block them from being able to conceive that Jesus is for real.

But, still, it's so important to read Mark chapter 4 about the most important aspect of evangelism: the gospel itself is the only really saving message --

We need to really hear all Christ is saying here.

First: we can't choose who will hear. We can't choose when they will respond. We cannot even know when. We cannot choose who will be deep rooted. We cannot make them believe. We cannot be the one Who saves. We are not.

Our messages and ideas don't save. Only His gospel saves. So, all the 100 different arguments we have, at best they can only help a little to remove a misconception. Or maybe even usually they are a potential danger, in that they can become too big, too primary. Example: preaching creationism instead of the gospel: huge error.

Only the gospel is saving. Not any other thing. Not proving the gospel accounts accurate. Not discussing faith and science. Not standing on your head. Not singing well. Not being good looking. Not being earnest looking.

None of it.

Only the gospel, alone, is the only real saving message.

Remember simply what Jesus tells disciples to say, or what the Father tells His children to say, or what they say others who are faithful say. (this is often stated throughout all Scripture, which is True)...

Hi. It's really great you are taking the Gospel to the street. ( BTW, Atheists have put up billboards across the USA saying that Christianity is fake.)
1)The position of not believing in God is simply believing in pure magic. Atheism absolutely believes in magic. There can be no argument about this. None. The position that something came from nothing is irrational nonsense. Atheism is factually incorrect.

2)Only the supernatural God can be self-existent. This is a self-evident fact. Material/natural things by their very definition and nature, need an Intelligent, Supernatural, Self-existent First-cause to bring it into existence. This Self-existent First-Cause is God.

3)The eminent geneticist Francis Collins(he mapped the Human Genome) says that morality is sure evidence of God. (He founded a Christian think-tank called the BioLogos Foundation, which is has many scientists from the best universities as members.)

-All of the founders of the many major disciplines of science were devout Christians. James Clerk Maxwell was a Christian apologist and the founder of the modern era of advanced physics according to Einstein. Maxwell is considered among the top 3 scientific minds in history. Romans 10:17 says faith comes from hearing the word of God(the Bible.) We can use the entire Bible when preaching the Good News(Gospel) of Christ.

Proving the existence of God to an Atheist can be rather difficult. Not because there is no evidence for God's existence, but it is because they already know that God exists.

Romans 1:20 "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."

In this verse, no one will have an excuse on Judgment Day when they stand before God. The presence of God are clearly seen from the creation as long as we can see and think clearly. If the presence of God is clearly seen, why do many Atheists reject Him? The heart of the problem is the problem with the heart. They do not want God to exist. It is not science that are driving them away, but it is because they love their sin.

I often give Ray Comfort's example with the building and the painter's analogy. How do we there was a builder or a painter? Because we have the building and the painting as evidence. How do we know that there is a Creator? Because we have the creation as evidence. This is only to stir their thinking and to plea with them to look at something that is completely obvious.

But I believe the best thing to do is to give them the law and the Gospel. We can talk about the existence of God all day, but by believing He exists doesn't make anyone a Christian. Even demons acknowledge that there is a God and they tremble. But we should address the conscience to expose their sins and to point them to Jesus.

Use the complexity of the human body. If one removes the heart, does the body still live? What came first, the heart, blood, veins, lungs? with only blood how did a creature stay alive?

Sir Isaac Newton, buried atheism(atheism was an already a dead* fantasy). Newton was the discoverer of gravity, the Calculus, and the laws of motion and optics etc.(remember the New York Times and NASA said that America went to the moon using Newton's laws -not Einstein's General Relativity.) Newton is widely considered among the top three scientists in history, and he clearly mentioned God as the creator of the Universe in his famous scientfic book 'Principia." This treatise is the beginning of modern science (however the modern era of physics began with James Clerck Maxwell, a devout Protestant evangelical Christian.)

Sir Isaac Newton declared that the existence of complex, consistent laws and intricate order in science and the majestic grandeur( a la Romans 1-already mentioned by a few on this thread) of the universe, absolutely proves God exists.
Note: Atheists of old would say"Well things just fall down to the ground because they just do. No real cause. But Newton said something must cause it to fall and he found gravity and explained it mathematically and empirically!So after Christians(Newton was an unorthodox Christian who did believe that Jesus rose from the dead to save believers and was the only Son of God and Christ's power was infinite) invented science, the unthinking atheists jump on the bandwagon.
Atheists have declared war on all people by murdering those sweet 50 people at Las Vegas country music concert several ago, and all the children they murder in the elementary schools and high schools in the mass shootings. I have an agnostic friend so I am in no way threatening atheists but just wish to let all know the growing evil they do. I hope and sincerely pray that atheists will start thinking rationally one day and end up in heaven by believing in Christ-the only smart choice.
P.S.:Atheists put up billboards in Milwaukee comparing the Bible to a Batman comic and are constantly attacking Christians across America, the UK etc. One bullied the frail, religious, eminent scientist Freeman Dyson. He died last year at the age of 99 in New York.)

*Scientist Robert Boyle destroyed atheism in his treatise a few years before Newton. Boyle is one of the founders of chemistry!

Heaven is not a socialist place. Some will have great rewards , other Christians will be low as Jesus warned. Yes, we are saved only by faith in Jesus because of grace BUT please work for your rewards-they are eternal!

One that comes to mind:

When you talk to someone. Point at a building, and tell them that this building has been around since before the dawn of time, and that nobody ever built it. And as this person argues, insist that this building was never built by anyone, and that plainly was there since forever, even before mankind existed. And continue with this, until the other person gets irritated. Then, tell them, "Ok, so if you insist that someone built this building, then who the heck made this world? If this building can't just appear out of nowhere, all by itself, then how can this entire world, with all in it just appear from thin air?"

I can't really think of a better one, to be honest.
