In the midst of callous and apathetic individuals, Linda touched many with her care and concern for the "least important" of society:

I hope it touches your heart as it does mine:

*The video illustrates a mock scene where a beautiful woman acts like she has passed out verses a homeless man. It takes an average of 6 seconds before an individual stops for the woman. An average of 3 minutes for the homeless man.

At the end, Linda reaches out to the man when no one else will.

this is a good video however in some cases, whether most or few, homeless people passed out in a busy metropolitan city can mean they are drunk, or high on drugs or are simply just sleeping. Try waking up a sleeping homeless man on the side of the street to find out he is still drunk and now angry that you woke him up.

Try putting that same scenario on the video but instead of a beer can put a knife and see how many people stop. The more of these elements you add the more you are going to scare people off. The "homeless" is just another element. I know this is judging but in reality that judgment is based on truth. No it doesn't mean that every passed out homeless person is like that but it does mean that some are. If you place that same homeless man in an area like a small town the very first person who would see them would probably do something. So a big city is also just another element and the fact that the homeless person is a man is also just another element.

People are desensitized to this the more they see it and the more they see that in these cases these people are angry/confused and don't need medical attention. So it is a mind set people get absorbed in based on the masses around them.

It isn't right but it is unavoidable. As individuals we can avoid it but as masses we cannot and it is going to happen. Think to yourself as to what situations you would allow someone to walk on by... what if they had a young child with them, what if they were a victim of a similar situation where a homeless person attacked them, what if they knew that person and knew that every day they pass out on the street from the lifestyle they live. We all can think of things where it becomes acceptable to pass the person by but in reality this person, no matter what the case, needs the love of Christ and that need for the love of Christ always out weighs the immediate circumstance, even the potential death of the homeless person or yourself.

As Christians every day we walk by the weak and hungry who are defenseless and demobilized on the ground. Some are crying out for help yet we just walk by. Some walk over hundreds or thousands daily. The story of the good Samaritan goes deeper than face value. The fact of the matter is we all need Christ and if you are touched by this video then sit on a bench in a mall and think to yourself that most of the people you see walking by are spiritual in the same situation as this video depicted the homeless man. Even though these people may appear to be unreachable they still need the love of Christ.

How long will you sit there watching these moments pass by before you do something or before its too late for those people?
