Today has been a fairly relaxed day. A friend popped over for the afternoon/evening. I ordered pancakes from a takeaway website and had them delivered freshly cooked to my front door. How lazy is that! But they were very nice.

I have a friend who is a Christian who is getting married in May and I have started a collection of music compositions for a wedding CD which I hope will be a nice surprise.

Some thoughts for the close of day as we settle to sleep and start a new week.

Isaiah 49:14-16 "Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me".

I thought I would add my latest composition "Palm of your Hand" which I've used for a CD celebrating and commemorating a friend's wedding in May. It's in a slow 3/4 time, with elements of a hymn-like style as well as being a love song.

I used "Steinway Piano" for the main melody, with orchestral string ensemble, harp, and the other instruments I added were oboe, violin and French horn.

I really like Taize, that flute is beautiful.

Taize songs are so simple, but with so much meaning. The arrangements are always beautiful, with the chants accompanied by a solo voice or instrument.
