We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?

This is a good story about the kindness of some people and a very kind thing they did intending to help. And it's a good story because everything went well and turned out well, so that's excellent.

Reality is, however, that this employee should not have accepted their help - if it were me, I'd have been extremely grateful but would have had to ask them not to help in any way. There are huge liability issues. One of those helpers could have easily cut him/herself with a knife, or broken something, or that woman in a tight dress and high heels could have easily slipped, especially on a greasy floor like that. Not to mention most of those customers were drunk, as the article states.

Sometimes it's better to not "help". I think this is such a case. Had something gone wrong that employee would have been fired and could have been sued by multiple parties including the employer.

Thanks for reminding me. Yes, a cut finger or a broken plate could lead to a lawsuit worth trillions. No but seriously, now I'm going to sue you, because your post literally caused me to roll my eyes clean out of my head.
