Habits are powerful, therefore we should cultivate good habits and get rid of bad habits.
The problem is it's hard to change our habits. No matter how hard it is, we should make it a goal.

2 things are helpful: (1) Understand that it is highly important to do so, then make it a goal; (2) Change ourselves a little bit everyday. Changing a little bit is much easier than changing a lot each day. It's so easy that there's practically no resistance to doing it. For example, for those who don't pray at all, changing a little bit would mean starting with saying 1 prayer, just 1 prayer each day, no more than that. This would be easy and would be a breakthrough.

Indeed. Without discipline we cannot lead a good life and follow Christ. Good clean living is vital on every level. To think about what we do, who we spend our time with and how we treat others. Once we make Christ the foundation of our lives things fall into place. I have changed in every way. It's hard to explain but Jesus changes us and leads us to improve ourselves on every level and fills us with peace.

2 things are helpful: (1) Motivation: understand that it is highly important to do so. Imagine yourself on the death bed, you have only an hour or so to live, you are lying on the border between time and eternity. You might regret of not forming better habits in the past, what would they be? (2) Strategy: instead of changing a lot each day, change ourselves only a little bit instead. Yes, only a little bit each day. Changing a little bit is much easier than changing a lot each day. It's so easy that there's practically no resistance to doing it. For example, for those who don't pray at all, changing a little bit would mean starting with saying 1 prayer, just 1 prayer each day, no more than that. And for those who say 1 prayer each day, changing a little bit would mean moving on to saying 2 prayers each day.

Avoid regret, do it now.
