I welcome any scripture that speaks of good Friday.

On this day 1987 years ago: Jesus rose from the grave

Spring Feasts:

Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost

Jesus died on Passover, was buried on Unleavened Bread & rose on Firstfruits.

2017: Thurs 4/6/17 (Nisan 10) the Passover Lamb would be chosen (Ex 12). Mon 4/10/17 is Nisan 14 lamb would be killed (Lev 23:5).

FIRSTFRUITS: RESURRECTION DAY!

It was on Firstfruits that Christ rose from the grave. Resurrection day this year begins at sundown Thurs April 13, 2017 & ends Fri at sundown. Any day is a great day to celebrate Christ Resurrection. Today is this years actual corresponding day.

When the Temple stood this day marked the official commencement of the grain (main/largest) harvest (Deut 16:7)

The firstfruits/sheaf of the barley harvest was brought to the Temple as a wave offering (Leviticus 23:9-14).

The waving of the sheaf/firstfruits, was a dedication before God and sanctified the whole harvest field.

Jesus is the Firstfruits to Resurrect from the grave. Recorded in Matt 27: Christ brings a wave offering before God with Him:

Matthew 27:51-53
51 Jesus dies; and behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. (OLD COVENANT ENDS RIGHT HERE!)

52 ""The tombs also were opened"". ""And many bodies of the saints who had died were raised"",

53 ""and coming out of the tombs"" ""after his resurrection"" ""they went into the holy city and appeared to many""

Paul also ties the Feast of Firstfruits together by linking Christ's Resurrection to it, Here:

1 Corinthians 15:
20 ""But now Christ is risen from the dead"", ""and has become the firstfruits"" ""of those who have died"".

21 For since by one man (Adam) came death, by one Man (Jesus Christ) also came the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall (Believers) be made alive.

23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming

I think you're confusing Good Friday with Easter. Good Friday is the remembrance of the crucifixion, not the Resurrection. We celebrate the Resurrection on Sunday (well, every day really).

Mark 16:9 Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.

Post doesn't disagree with Luke. In 30 AD Passover & Firstfuits fell on different days. Is your birthday on the same day every year?

Jesus wasn't crucified on a Friday. There might be a way to imagine you can get 3 days out of Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday morning...
But there is no way you can get three nights out of it.

Matthew 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

The Passover Lamb was to be shut up under examination for 4 days, and then killed.
If you look carefully at the Gospels, you will find Jesus came to Jerusalem on the Sabbath, and was "shut up" under examination for 4 days, until his crucifixion on Wednesday.

He died Wednesday evening, which was actually the beginning of "the evening-morning" of Thursday.

So, he was dead three evening-mornings:
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

He rose as the evening-morning of the Sabbath ended.

The women came early in the morning, and he was already risen. It had happened earlier.

We once went to Disney world....told people we were there for 3 days....allthough we spent 12 hours there the first day, and then 8 hours there the second and third day.

1st My post doesn't claim Jesus died on a Fri

2ndly, The post doesn't speak to the day Jesus rode in on the Donkey in 30 ad.

Finally, the problem in your posted timeline. Nisan 14 began on Wed at sundown, Christ doesn't die until 3 pm the next day (Thurs) still Nisan 14.

I hope this helps.

You should read it again. Passover is on the 14th of Nissan. Yom HaBikkurim is ALWAYS on a SUNDAY as is Shavuot/Pentecost. Passover was on the Sabbath that year, but Yeshua died the day before on Friday. He rose on Yom HaBikkurim, on Sunday, the first day of the week. This year Passover was on Monday while Yom HaBikkurim is on Sunday (Saturday after sunset tomorrow evening).

So, you are saying Jesus died Tursday at 3 p.m.
That means from Thursday 3 p.m. to Friday 3 p.m. is one day and one night. (we need 3 of these.)
Friday 3 p.m. to Saturday 3 p.m. is the second day and night.
And Saturday 3 p.m. to Sunday 3 p.m. .... No, that doesn't work.

We once went to Disney world....told people we were there for 3 days....allthough we spent 12 hours there the first day, and then 8 hours there the second and third day.
But did you tell people you spent 3 days and 3 nights there?
Jesus said He would spend 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth.

1st we know He was 30 when he began, we know His earthly ministry was 3 1/2 years, we know the Temple was destroyed in 70 ad. Do a study on 40. We know when he died there was an eclipse at noon, the earth was dark. We have astrological programs now that can place the eclipse & the Star of Bethlehem at 30 ad.

Wrong. We know he died on Friday (before sunset) and rose on Sunday (after sunset on Saturday). That is 3 days. Any portion of a day is considered the whole. Sunday on the road to Emmaus, they said that it was now the third day since the events occurred. Sunday was day 3, Saturday was day 2 and Friday was the day the events happened. I do not know why the 3 days and 3 nights keeps being soooo important because Yeshua Himself said "in 3 days" and "on the 3rd day". The sign was not a dead man being in the grave for 3 days and nights...that is no sign...the sign was THE RESURRECTION.

I disagree, BTW the day begins at sunset (7pm) he doesn't die until 3pm on Thurs (still Nisan 14) you timeline allows 1-2 days at best. Scripture is clear 3 days in the grave. Friday doesn't work!

The day (Nisan 14) doesn't begin until sunset (7pm)

Approximate Nisan 14 timeline:
Nisan 14 began at sundown. Jesus eats his last supper with his chosen 12 (7-9pm). They go the Garden of Gethsemane & Jesus prays (9pm -midnight) He is arrested (midnight) the Priests accuse, abuse & condemn Him (midnight-6am). Hes taken to Pilate questioned, abused, scourged & sentenced to death (6am til 8am). Nailed to the cross (9am) suffers and dies at (3pm) all on Nisan 14.

Friday simply doesn't work!
