I am 84 years of age and gave my heart to the Lord in 1958. The Lord has cared for and guided me to this day.

I think the best answer to your question can be found in Hebrews 4:16:

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.​
