  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

:preach: As we look around us we seek to understand God through his creation. We want to know God's purpose and intention in creating man and placing him on earth. Yet we cannot discover this by looking around because people do not fulfill God's ideal. The only place we find what God has intended is through his Word where it is written," Let us make man in our inage, after our own likeness." Christian I ask you! What did God intend? Look at Jesus and you will know. For Jesus said," I always do those things that please the Father." The Father said of Christ," This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." As we look at Jesus Christ, we see what God intended man to be. We cannot look at Adam because Adam fell, even though God did not intend man to fall. We cannot look at ourselves because we have fallen, this I must say," this was not God's intention either. But if we look to Christ, there we find the divine ideal which God intended for his creation. It is God's purpose for his Holy Spirit to work in your life and by the power of his spirit to change you. He will shape your life into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.
