Was the temple always the place for God to rest His "feet"?
(1Ch 28:2) Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:
(Isa 60:13) The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
Did the elders who saw God see His feet - there is a description of what was under His feet? And God did tell Moses:
(Exo 33:20) And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
God said heaven is His throne and the earth is His footstool, doesn't that mean His feet are/can be/will be on the earth? It is written:
Zec 14:3-4 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. (4) And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Any thoughts on God's footstool and/or His feet?
