Isaiah 46:8-10 Remember this and abandon hope, consider it well you rebels: Remember all that happened long ago – for I am God and there is none other. From the beginning I reveal the end, from ancient times what is yet to be. I say: My purpose stands, I shall accomplish all that I plan.

Isaiah 46:12-13 Listen to Me, you stubborn of heart, for whom victory is far off; I will bring My victory near and My deliverance will not be delayed. In Zion, I will grant deliverance for Israel, My glory.

Isaiah 47:1-5 Come down and sit in the dust, you virgin daughter of Babylon. Never again will you be called beautiful, your shame will be exposed. I shall take vengeance and show clemency to none, says the Holy One of Israel, the Redeemer of His people. Daughter of the ungodly, go into darkness and sit in silence for never again will you be able to lord it over the nations.

Isaiah 47:11-15 Persist in your idol worship and all the sorceries that you have relied upon, maybe they will yet help you? But disaster will come to you, suddenly and unforeseen and you will be unable to conjure it away. So much for your wise people, those who foretell prosperity and safety, they will become as stubble when the fire burns them up. It will not be like a fire to get warm by, but a devastating flame that they cannot escape from.
    Ref: REB. Some verses abridged.

from ancient times, I reveal what is to be’, We can know God's Plans from the prophets. Amos 3:7, Revelation 1:1, Isaiah 45:19
Also, what happened to Israel in the past, is symbolic of what will happen in the future.
    1 Corinthians 10:11

In Zion, Israel will receive deliverance’, The Lord’s people, those who love Him and follow His laws, will live in the holy Land. Psalm 15:1-5, Isaiah 62:1-5 But first the Land must be cleared and cleansed, as the unrighteous cannot remain there. Ezekiel 20:46-48, Jer. 31:1-6

daughter of Babylon – lord over the nations’, In these end times, this may refer to the USA, the worlds richest and most powerful nation. Isaiah 18:1-7, Jeremiah 50:22-25, Jeremiah 51:6-10, Zechariah 2:6-7

I shall take vengeance and show clemency to none’, The whole world will be judged and those who refuse to acknowledge the Lord will be punished. Hebrews 10:26-27, Deuteronomy 32:39-42, 1 Peter 4:17

‘a sudden and unforeseen disaster of a devastating fire’, A coronal mass ejection of unprecedented magnitude will strike the earth, literally fulfilling all the many prophecies about it. Isaiah 30:26, Malachi 4:1, Jeremiah 4:23-26

Isaiah 41:22 Let them bring them, and tell us what is to happen. Tell us the former things, what they are, so that we may consider them, and that we may know their outcome;or declare to us the things to come.

23 Tell us what is to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods; do good, or do harm, that we may be afraid and terrified.

"Set forth your case, says the Lord; bring
your proofs, says the King of Jacob."
    -

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Rev. 19:10).

the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy
and The sure Word of Prophecy

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shinethin a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

God designed Bible prophecy to be a beacon
of understanding in a dark, confused world.

Only God can interpret His prophecies.

The prophets are part of the foundation
of God’s Church.“And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Eph. 2:20).

Paul taught the Ephesians that they were to pay close attention to theteachings of Jesus Christ, His apostles, and the prophets!

God’s Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth, would
    show us “things to come.”

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

Andat the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and theking of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

I think it might mean, as we approach the end the Spirit reveals more of the hidden past.

I'm thinking at the beginning of human history the Spirit reveals the future and at the end of history He reveals the past.

Habakkuk 1:5 Look around you among the nations, see there a sight that will utterly astound you, you will not believe it when you are told of what is being done in your days.

Habakkuk 1:6-11 goes on to say how the Babylonians were appointed to execute judgement against the House of Judah, but the preceding verses in Habakkuk 1:1-4 are a general indictment onto peoples and nations whose ‘laws are ineffective and where justice is overruled’. Therefore this threat of action by the Lord applies to our times, as well.

Acts 13:40-41 Beware, then lest you bring down upon yourselves the doom proclaimed by the prophets. Look, you who fail to grasp the truth, be surprised and perish. I am doing a work in your days, something that you will not believe, even though it has been pointed out to you.

This is the parallel passage from the New Testament. Paul's quote, was nothing to do with Jesus and His work on the cross, the message of salvation is not ‘doom’.
It applies to the end times: ‘your days’, not his days, but our days.

The ‘Doom proclaimed by the prophets’, will be the great and terrible Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath. All the prophets and Jesus make it clear that this ‘Day of doom’, is the next prophesied event that we can expect to happen. Jesus quoted the first and half of the second verse of Isaiah 61:1-2, at the commencement of His ministry. The worldwide Day of vengeance of our God’, still not yet happened. It will be the Sixth Seal disaster, which commences all the prophesied end times events, leading up to the glorious Return of Jesus.

More than 100 prophecies throughout the Bible describe in vivid detail this forthcoming punishment onto the whole world by devastating fire, earthquakes, storms and tsunamis. This sudden and shocking event will take most people unawares and we are told by Paul, that those who are ‘surprised’; that is unaware and unprepared, then: they may perish.. Ezekiel 21:3-4

Isaiah 30:26 tells us what it is that causes this worldwide devastation and also that it will be ‘the Day the Lord saves His people’. who are all faithful Christians, who truly believe in Jesus and a few Messianic Jews who are protected in Jerusalem. Isaiah 31:5

Therefore it is up to us to take heed of the warnings, Isaiah 24:1, Isaiah 26:20-21 and to be prepared for all the effects of a massive CME sunstrike that will kill about 1/3 of the world’s population and will destroy all of our modern infrastructure. Jeremiah 9:22

Then, for all who love the Lord and keep His Commandments, the Lord is ‘waiting to show His favor’, Isaiah 30:18-20

Gal 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
Gal 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Heb 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Based on the scripture found above, our home is not on this rotten, sin cursed world.
Paul said it is now "above".

Christ confirms this fact below in the Book of Revelation.

Rev_3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Rev_21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Rev_21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

Paul does not say we Christians will live in heaven. Jesus refutes it: John 3:13, +

Only after the Millennium, there will be a new earth, but before Jesus Returns, He will destroy His enemies - make them His footstool.
Initially He will send a judgment of fire, as over 100 prophesies say. The Sixth Seal, Day of wrath event, that will set the scene for all the rest of Revelation.

The fire comes from the Son, instead of the sun, in the passage below.

2Th 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
    2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2Th 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

    It will be a CME.

Studying all the relevant prophesies on the Day of the Lord's fiery wrath, confirms that 2 Thess 1:6-10, IS about a Coronal Mass Ejection that the Lord will send to destroy His enemies. Psalms 11:4-6, Psalms 50:1-3, Isaiah 30:26-30, +

When Jesus does Return, and every person will see Him, it is not and cannot be; 'in fire'.
He just wipes out the attacking armies by the Sword of His Word. Why is it so hard for you to get this?

You don't think Revelation 19 involves the 2nd coming? The reason I ask, I don't see of a hint of fire anywhere once Jesus is seen leaving heaven. But it does mention a lake of fire. That only involves the beast and false prophet at the time though.

If you saw smoke coming out of your house would you consider it a "hint of fire"?

Have you ever heard the expression...

"Where there is smoke, there is fire."

Rev 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
Rev 19:2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
Rev 19:3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. (Is this a hint of fire?)

Also remember that the Book of Revelation is not in chronological order. The Second Coming is also found below in chapter 16.

Rev 16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
Rev 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Rev 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
Rev 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

How do you ignore what Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10?
Do you think Paul made a mistake when he described Christ returning "in flaming fire"?

2 Thess. 2:11… God puts those who do not open their minds to the love of the truth, under a compelling delusion, which makes them believe what is false. Then in Isaiah 29:9-14, talking to us, that is: the Christian peoples, the Laodicean Church of today, we are…. pitiful wretches, we attend ‘church’ but our hearts are far from the Lord. Our worship is by rote and made up of rules taught from men. Therefore once more the Lord will astound His people, shock and amaze us. Most of us won’t know His plans, because the wisdom of the wise will be removed and the discernment of the intelligent will be lost. Matthew 11:25

The Day is coming; When the wicked and godless will vanish and all who love evil will be cut down. Isaiah 29:20-21, Isaiah 66:15-17, Psalm 83, Rev. 6:12-17

Then: In that Day; the deaf will hear the words of scripture and the blinded will see through the impenetrable darkness. Isaiah 29:18 & 24 The lowly will once again rejoice in the Lord, as the Holy Land is regenerated into a fruitful garden Land. Ezekiel 36:8, Amos 9:13-15, Isaiah 35

That Day of fire and tempest, Malachi 4:1-3, Joel 2:1-11, +, is not a Day for all who believe in the Lord to panic or be frightened, for Righteousness will rise among them, as the Lord heals the wounds [of spiritual and physical exile, Ezekiel 37] inflicted upon His people. Isaiah 30:25-28, Zephaniah 3:8-10, Revelation 7:9-17

This is what we look forward to, our great hope for the future:

Ezekiel 34:11-16 Now, [that is: soon after the Day of the Lord’s wrath against the nations] I, Myself will search for and gather My people, I will rescue them for wherever they are scattered after that Day of cloud and darkness. I shall lead them out of the nations, Micah 2:12-13, Psalms 107, and bring them home to their own country. I shall make a Covenant with them to ensure peace and prosperity and they will have good leaders. Ezekiel 34:23-31, Jeremiah 30:21, Hosea 1:11

After they are settled, Jeremiah 30 & 31, the Lord will summon Gog to come down from the north and invade the Land recently restored from ruin, whose people are gathered from many nations and are now settled and prosperous. Ezekiel 38:8 This is in order for the Lord, through His people; to show Himself great and holy to the nations. Ezekiel 38:16

Later, the Leader of the One World Government, a ten region confederation, Daniel 7:24, Rev 17:12-13, will come to the new nation of Beulah, Isaiah 62:1-5, and make a seven year treaty of peace with them. Daniel 9:27, He will break it at the mid-point and invade Beulah. Zechariah 14:1-2 But this will trigger the Great Tribulation trumpet and bowl punishments. 1260 days later, the Lord Jesus will Return, destroy those attackers of Jerusalem, bind up Satan and commence His Millennial reign.

The fourth angel that pours out the fourth vial in Revelation 16 is NOT Jesus!

How do you not know something so obvious?

    New International Version
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire.

    New Living Translation
Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, causing it to scorch everyone with its fire.

    English Standard Version
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire.

It's also the sun, not the Son that scorches people in Revelation 16:8.

It is obvious to anyone, except you, that this passage is not about the Return of Jesus for His Millennium reign. Paul goes on in 2 Thess chapter 2, to prophecy further events before the Return.
It plainly refers to the terrible Day of the Lord's fiery wrath, that WILL be His vengeance onto His enemies, killing millions worldwide. Isaiah 24:6, Psalms 63:1-3, Isaiah 66:15-17
The Sixth Seal event, that will commence all the rest of what must happen before Jesus Returns.

The three proof passages that inform us about the glorious Return do not mention fire. Revelation 19:11-21, Matthew 24:329-30, Zechariah 14:3-6

    Rev_1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

    Rev_2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

Rev_3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Rev_4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Rev_8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

Rev_8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

    Rev_8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

Rev_9:17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

Rev_9:18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

Rev_10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

Rev_11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

Rev_14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

Rev_14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

Rev_15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Rev_16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

Rev_17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Rev_18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

Rev_19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Rev_19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Rev_20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Rev_20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Rev_20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rev_20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Rev_21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

    Be prepared for this one.
It refers to the Sixth Seal, the great and terrible Day of the Lord's wrath, the soon to happen world changer.

Would you tell us what else could happen to commence the events described by the prophets for the end times of this Church age?
