The Bible says God does not burden us with problems we cannot handle. That is certainly true. Moses had a stutter, but reading the Ten Commandments aloud to Egyptians worked perfectly. Many other stories demonstrate God's faith winning out over sinful anxiety. Jesus said, "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will care for itself."
Easier said than done. I cannot see any way doing the work God made me to do is possible. As a 44-year old woman with Asperger's syndrome, epilepsy, moderate hearing loss, and multiple speech disorders (all congenital and permanent disabilities), I am unable to stop worrying that, despite the many Biblical and historical examples, I will never be able to do my purpose in life. That is because of all the disabilities I listed. Every single one of them prevents me from doing it, both by itself and in combination with the others. I have had this fear for years, but it is not on the back burner in my mind anymore. So I think God is telling me to ask Christians for help now. Just please do not be judgmental, which is a sin.
Beloved one, we have heard the loving kindness of our Lord:
“
Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.”
Isaiah 53:4 NKJV
Beloved one, surely the Lord has borne your griefs and carried your sorrows as you explained to us your sufferings, afflictions and pains.
Beloved one, are you concerned about the Lord’s purpose? This is what we have heard:
“having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He
purposed in Himself,
that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.”
Ephesians 1:9-10 NKJV
Beloved one, God’s purpose He purposed in Himself. Are you not willing to believe that you can be gathered together in Christ?
I ask the question not to pass judgement on you, but for you to consider God’s loving kindness in Christ Jesus.
Beloved one, it is not important what we lack in ourselves, even if we lose ourselves, we have Christ.
For we heard:
“He who finds his life will lose it,
and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
“
He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”
Matthew 10:39-40 NKJV
it is not important what we have not experienced but what is important what Christ experiences, for what Christ experience is what we experience, for we are in unity with Christ.
Beloved one, how much we should love Christ who was willing to bear our griefs
And carried our sorrows
, where there is no other, and there is no one like Him; Beloved one, He is our beloved and precious Savior.
Beloved one, only the devil told us that we can’t do. For we heard:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:13 NKJV
So beloved one, do all things through the love of Christ that strengthen you. For we heard :
You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, -2 Timothy 2:1
Beloved one, just be a child of God, basking in His endless love, and you will be strengthened because His grace is steadfast love that never cease.
Would you cease to love your children? This is what we have heard:
““Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.”
Isaiah 49:15 NKJV
Beloved one, consider who is speaking in Isaiah 49:15 ? Beloved one, perceive the love of Christ who said that He will not forget you.
Beloved one,
Trust His love. Trust that you are His child. Trust the Father’s purpose to gather you in unity with Christ. Trust His steadfast love strengthen you.
May God’s peace be with you in every way. To God be glory, praise and honor through Christ.
Amen
