Their is a media blackout on this protest Trucking convoy moving across Canada to Ottawa. They are protesting the vaccine mandate on truckers (not anti-vax most actually are vaccinated). In spite of the media blackout, and the few people that mention them on the news calling them "fringe" etc. thousands of citizens of Canada are waiting outside in the frigid temperatures to cheer them on as they pass by their area.

Because blocking highways and the people trying to travel on them is a sure-fire way to convince people to side with you. I'm puzzled as to how there could be a "media blackout" if we all hear about it.

Odd, that it is claimed that there is some media blackout, yet if you Google Canadian trucker protest you literally get dozens of stories on it. Could it be that it just isn't particularly important to people in the U.S. and, therefore, we don't hear a lot about it in our news that is picked up off the wires?

Yep, it's HUGE

Yeah I didn't realize that it is 35K trucks and counting.... American truckers are joining in but they have to be fully vaccinated to cross the border.

And when you add in the bystanders cheering on that's a lot of people, and something really massive in size to news blackout seeing how semis are big etc. But they sort of did that before when it came to some of the large anti-abortion protests in Washington DC etc.

It is funny how the media can cover things that are pretty trivial in size like "The Coffee Party" when it fits their narrative. Those meetings often were really small, even in big cities.

It's of some import to the U.S. too since it involves truckers crossing the borders between the two countries.

Yes but the 5+ million $ was returned because they were able to demonstrate the destination of where the funds go.

Yes but as the above Viva Frei video points out that only came after....

1) They tried unsuccessfully to suppress it
2) They acknowledged the truck convoys but mocked the idea it was affecting anything in the stores. e.g. their was a blue checkmark person on twitter, a former Justin Trudeau cabinet person who said he had been to 3 different supermarkets and all he saw missing were pumpkins....
