I had a chance to revisit a church that I last visited 2 years ago this morning for liturgy. The last time I was there, they had maybe a dozen people show up at a church building that can hold 200 people easily. Other times I have visited, there were maybe about 20 to 25 people present. Nobody was involved in the liturgy, there were no young people, and my fear was that the church was going to die (it is an old ethnic church).

When I visited this morning I was stunned at how the church had rebounded. There had to have been close to 100 people in attendance, and there were multiple families with young children present. The children were reverently kissing icons, lighting candles and participating in the service. It was a shocking turnaround that I can only attribute to God. He brought his flock back home. They still have some issues to work through, notably in the realm of music, but they seem to be on the right track.

Thought I would share the good news.
