Giving Up

Has anyone pretty much given up on the idea of being married

People don't give up! I actually gave up over a month ago and guess what?? I met someone amazing!! Keep your heads up!! It will happen! I'm 28 and am now in my first real serious relationship.

Sometimes I get those thoughts, but then I pray about it and feel better. I know that I just have to be patient and wait for that special someone

My hope was briefly restored recently, but if I learned anything from that experience it was that hope is for suckers. Which isn't a healthy position to take, so I try not to think about it at all these days.

Definitely NOT! You never know when someone wonderful will show up! I don't know how to explain the phenomenon of looking, but not looking that tends to somehow work it's self out, but it does. Although, I'm ready to get out and test the waters.

I gave up, or rather, I should say that I don't care whether I stay single or not. I'm okay either way right now. I'm not going to stress over marriage and dating like I used to.

I dunno. I hope that I don't start fretting once I become 30. Hopefully not, lol.

I used to strongly believe I would be single for the rest of my life, but the older I get the more I find women do like me.

I'll probably coerce some woman to marry me within the next few years and be signing the divorce papers before the next presidential election. Bada bing bada boom...

I'm 40 and I haven't given up on getting married or having children. What I'm trying to give up on is doing it myself. The more I give up on there things God comes in and takes care of whatever it is. Do not give up on the things you want, but give it to God and learn that His time is the right time. We live in a world where everything is RIGHT NOW! Right now is not how God works and we all know it. I know once my heart is where it fully needs to be He will put her in my path.

No. I've never given up and probably never will. I do have a suspicion that I might be a 'late bloomer' when it comes to love/marriage however, which is totally fine with me. I'm not ready for marriage right now, let alone a relationship.

i dont know if id say given up. I go through phases, sometimes im really hopeful and sometimes im a total downer and think ill die alone in an empty house. These are just some thoughts that creep into my head sometimes; i guess they are sort of normal.
