fishyjoe,

Have I thought about giving up on Jesus? I can't say that I haven't experienced times when I felt I'd like to give into the 'flesh' and depart from being a Christian. However, when I see the world as it is, I keep considering the negative effects that the daring move of giving myself over to the Mark of the Beast(s) would have on me; and for the life of me, I can't see how kissing the devil would possibly be conducive to my own well-being in the long run ...

...so, throw the ring in, Frodo!!!
I'm not kissing anything, Satan is a mythical character. So I'm playing in the world of fantasy, like the actor who plays frodo.

Really?
Do you think that all these Muslims killing in the name of their god got their instruction from the Lord?
Islam is a Satanic cult. It's "prophet" was a thug who amassed power by creating a false religion based loosely on the Old Testament that essentially glorified his brutish and evil lifestyle. Islam didn't become what it is today because Mohammed was such a good salesman. It is the perfect way for the great deceiver to lure many who seek a relationship with God into a false religion that leads to their destruction.

All of the death that has ever occurred in this world is attributable to the fall of man, whose fall was a result in trusting the word of Satan. So who does Satan kill? Everyone.
How does one measure faith against faith when the strongest piece of evidence is belief itself.

You're right. You were abused.
Your parents had a duty to raise you in a godly home and teach you about the Lord. They failed.
Now you're here attacking Christianity without knowing anything about which you speak.
You don't know God and never did. I was right in that.
If it makes you feel at ease, then I don't mind.

That doesn't quite sound like a statement coming from a "seeker." And since this isn't the place for "Christian apologetics," I will refrain from attempting to counter your "is."

Mind you, you don't have a grain of reliable evidence for your claims.

I think you know that.

Giving it a name is not why, try again.

Why is it child abuse to teach your child the bible.
Do you really need too, or you afraid they'll go to hell? Is that why you parents do it.

So you'll be one big happy family in heaven?

Yep, I do have the most precious, reliable evidence known. God reached out to me to save me from a life of sin, disrespect, foul language, envy, disastrous mental confusion, setting me on the path to eternal life. It is all in the scripture I posted for you just now. Read it, believe it, receive it.

You should be afraid of them going to Hell.
If you love your child, and you know Heaven to be true, why would you not want to save them?
That is what would be child abuse, you can help them, but you don't.

And, I'm not a parent.

I think you know that.
You have all the evidence you need, Romans 1:18 Romans 1:19 Romans 1:20

But, if you still want biblical evidence.
There is not a credible historian that denies the historical accuracy, and legitimacy of the history in the bible
Whether they're secular, or religious.

An agnostic wrote a book saying explicitly Jesus exist
Historical Accuracy | The Institute for Creation Research

You don't need to have a degree to look this stuff up, there is a multitude of evidence, at your finger tips.

The question is, does God exist.
And we know he does, because something does not come from nothing, rather an unintelligent creation, did not create itself.

Question God all the time.
It's the only way we learn about him.

You're making an assertion that Christians are afraid to question God, we're not.
